Mugzy being the shelter's longest-term resident, I took him on an overnight Sunday night and he was fantastic! We went by the beach, but the trees and bushes were by far more exciting. Then we stopped by Petco, which is by all accounts his happy place :) People! Toys! Great smells! I think he would have sniffed around in there all day if I'd let him. When we checked out, I realized I'd left my wallet in the car. We walked outside the store, where he stopped and asked me to take his picture :)He definitely didn't want to leave, so I told him we were just going to the car for a second so we could buy him a new Nylabone. When we got the wallet and turned back to the store, he literally ran back inside. We met a ton of people, all of whom fell in love with him.
The only thing that was hard about fostering Mugzy was making sure he got enough belly rubs first thing in the morning :) He looooves his morning belly rubs and had no problem 'holding it' for about 10 minutes until he'd had has fill and was ready to go potty outside. He was adorable.
I brought him with me to the hotel's breakfast room. He was amazing there and despite delicious smells, he rolled over on the floor and laid there, just in case other hotel guests were interested in rubbing hiss belly too. It was a smaller room, so I held onto his leash while I got my food and coffee, and we met probably 20 people. He would happily have stayed there all day, so I coaxed him out of the room with a little hardboiled egg.
