Kaede wasn’t exactly sure how she had wandered into Cotes Ward, but was soon enraptured by the myriad of dazzling sights. Creatures she only would think existed in media of the fantasy genre, and some she couldn’t imagine at all. It was quite stunning, but that interest soon turned into concern.

A pixie floated by her face, and Kaede nearly flinched. She turned to the person nearest her, a complete stranger, and whispered in a quick and hushed tone.

If she had a weapon, then this would have been fine.

But she was on her own- not even a single ally who had her back. That’s fine, though. She can handle this demon on her own. It’s just one, right?

Just a game of tag.

In other words, she wasn’t nervous or scared. There were other people who needed protecting. So, without hesitation, she ran at one of the man eating demons. But, instead of attacking...

... She slid underneath it, legs first- until she was behind it.

The man eater was confused, since it’s prey had suddenly disappeared- and she was able to escape.

 ❆ hey!!

it tugged on the strangers jacket, shifting and antsy like it wanted something.

there’s an obvious shine in irisviel’s eyes as she passes by the shop, decrepit though it appeared on the outside. tucked in the display area behind the front window was a beautiful coat that would have been perfect for kiritsugu. of course, she had no knowledge of whether or not her husband was here, and so the dilemma of whether or not to go inside and make the purchase, and simply hold onto the long grey coat for him when he arrived, was at the forefront. 

close enough to watch, but hopefully not close enough to seem like a stalker weirdo. so far (in the admittedly short time he’d been standing around), though, no one had gotten as hurt as he had been hoping expecting. he thought he might inquire a bit, approached a teenager dressed like a wizard that was.. hovering? close by, and cleared his throat. 

“ excuse me, have you happened to participate in this, ah, ‘menacing monster massacre’ yet? ”

The least he can do is try, though.

So Joshua hops from his rooftop perch and glides down to street level, falling into step with the other. "Aichi, right?"

Whatever his reaction is, Aichi's greeted with a smile that persists through the rest of his newfound partner's words. "You lost your memories a few years ago, didn't you? Of a certain friend... I believe his name was Kai."
