tanashi our boy :pleading: i’d love to gush about him <3

okay so i’ll be real i’m like not very well versed in zodiacs at all (grew up with the chinese zodiac, could not tell you the defining traits of those either except what order they come in) and i actually didn’t set a birthday for anyone in crowned like i normally do because i just didn’t really expect to write about anyone’s birthday in the story!! so i’ll leave the question of what star sign he is to everyone who thinks they have a good grasp on him :eyes: (secretly maybe i want him to be a capricorn bc that’s what i am but i have no idea if i even fit the capricorn stereotypes LOL)

tanashi loves simple things!! if he wasn’t so determined to follow in his father’s footsteps, i think he would have adored staying in his hometown, being a simple worker (forgive me for suddenly forgetting but i’m too lazy to open the doc and i think i said analm was a fishing town- so either that or he’d be a farmer). he loves the countryside, would rather live there than in a bustling city where there are too many people and not enough connections between others.

(tw food!) there’s a canon scene rn where kai, karina, and tanashi bond and they talk about their favorite sweets, so spoilers i guess that tanashi loves peanut tangyuan <3 much to the sadness of karina who is like “how can you like peanut when SESAME is an option??” (i would agree with karina but,,, we love peanut tangyuan all the same anyway)

his favorite holiday is definitely the lantern festival or i guess (chinese) new year?? cause that happens at the end and he has super fond memories of how the children at analm would run around decorating the streets, stringing paper lanterns around and bringing homemade dumplings or food to their neighbors!! then at the end everyone lights their lanterns, eat outside, exchange new year’s stories and :(( it’s very cute and maybe you get to see grown up crowned crew having a lantern festival <3

okay i need to make myself stop before you get a whole essay on the soft domestic side of tanashi but like <3 obv we’ll part with he loves bryce <3

here’s cut your tongue! for @semblanche‘s WIP TERRAS TOWN! this song was quite challenging to make, actually, since i had a really limited amount of instruments for the genre (alternative rock) so there are quite a few harmonies! 

i tried to make the song really unnerving, since that was the vibe i got from terras town—especially during the bridge and at the very end! also the bass is pretty heavy, so i hope that worked haha

but anyway, enjoy! i hope it satisfied your expectations :)

But...but, uh, it wasn’t good. Of course I’m thankful for the money, but...we always had to have on our ‘happy faces’. No matter who came through the door, no matter what they wanted. If they could pay, they would get it. My mistress was...very clear on that. No matter what they did, we had to smile and be sensual and do whatever they wanted us to do. Or we’d get punished. Harshly. And I - and I was good at it. I was good at that. 

But then there were these three men. I...I don’t think I’ll ever forget them. They came in as a group, paid as a group, an-and took me as a group. I...I begged my mistress to tell them no, t-that I was sick or hurt or whatever, but she just scoffed. She just scoffed and told them to have at it. S-she said they paid for me, me specifically, s-so I was...it was my job to do whatever they wanted. To comply and let them d-do what they wanted.

So they did. 

And...and....I cried. 

It hurt - it hurt so bad, and I thought my mistress cared about me, and...I cried. 

They didn’t like that. After - after they finished, they left me on the bed and complained to my mistress. A-and that was it for me. I got thrown out that night. She just kicked me out. I was still wearing all my golden jewelry and makeup and all I had on were see-through silks draped over my body - Jelle was right, they’re whores’ silks - and I was on the streets. Just like that.

Sascha: “I’ll be honest, he wasn’t much to look at when I found him. Just a boy in some sparse silks and a few pieces of shiny golden jewelry.

I hadn’t even seen him at first - it was dusk and really, I was looking for a place to sleep. And then I heard crying and pleading, so I looked over to see two men grabbing him roughly, shoving him into the nearest alleyway and slapping him to try and get him to shut up. It really doesn’t take a genius to see what they were doing.

But I was thinking more of those men than of him. I was like, ‘Those assholes.’ Like, go fuck your own wives, huh? So I went over there, kicked them around a little. They ran off with their tails between their legs. So I wiped my bloody fist on my pants and I was about to walk off, but then Pavel comes up and starts thanking me, hugging my leg and all that. 

And I was like ‘Who the fuck is this?’ But then I was like oh yeah. Slipped my mind for a second. I kind of pushed him off and told him to fuck off, but he wouldn’t leave me. So I got tired, and just let the bastard tag along. And, well, he’s still with me.
