Self[ie]-Obsessed. I’ve been struggling with a lot of body dysphoria/dysmorphia lately. I look in the mirror with a stance and scowl similar to this before I get in the shower and I obsess over the things I dislike about myself (inside and out). Last night, I surprised myself by unintentionally noticing something I like. So I’ve decided I want to repurpose this pose. I decided I want to work on intentionally obsessing over myself as a whole. For everything I don’t like, I’m making myself identify 2 things I do like. I’m deciding to relish in knowing that I am worth love and admiration, which will start within. The way I look, my single status, my perceptions of a mostly empty friend list, my paycheck - none of that determines my worth, and a lot of it is unnecessary self-doubt.
