Well the intent was to wear it natural for a day to keep it off the back of my neck so I could keep cool, but the increase in length means shrinkage wasn't adequate to do that 😅
I needed the cowash, though. I hadn't been able to moisturize it properly this week and it was kind of frizzy.
Couldn't get back to sleep so I touched up my hair. Been up since 5 (do not want).
Post-deep conditioning week length check since six months ago and now this height of ponytail is no longer enough to keep it off the back of my neck. I think I finally BEAT the length I had as a kid.
Can I just say it is n-v-t-s NUTS how much my hair started bouncing back when I switched back to Black hair-centric brands for most of my routine (gotta admit Elvive Power Restore really does live up to the hype though)? I used to think it didn't make that much of a difference, but even flat-ironed like this is, there's a big difference. It's like I managed to pull off a silk press at home.
