a/n: this is an apology for abandoning y'all for a bit. hope ygs enjoy :)

You went onto LaDS earlier than usual today. That night, you hadn’t gotten the best sleep, ending up tossing and turning and only sleeping for about 3 hours that night. 

You did your dailies quickly, saying hi to the newly unlocked Caleb as you did them. 

“Ok. I know your backstory, I swear to the gods above, people just don’t understand you, man.” You tapped on the screen, going for the head like you always did. He said one of his lines, and you continued to tap on Caleb’s head repeatedly. 

Caleb found it quite endearing. You said it was a rite of passage. The only one you had been barely able to give headpats to was Sylus. That man had gone past the screen on your phone, hiding behind the camera.

“If you didn’t want head pats, just say that. You don’t have to hide, silly.” You say, opting for Sylus’s shoulder instead as you admired him (respectfully, of course. Of course of course.)

Sylus was amused by your antics, and the next time you saw him, you could have sworn he got a slight bit shorter. He was short enough for you to give him headpats now. 

You chose relax time, then the palm option with Sylus. Your heart nearly stopped dead when he stopped your (MC’s) hand from drawing back and kissed it. 

If you could explode, you would have right there. Sylus could see your face turn red, chuckling with that rich person laugh you had grown to love over the last few months of playing the game.

After doing the weekly tasks, staring at the Log In for 5 days task being ⅘ done, you went to relax.

As you were called away for a second, MC broke free. “You know you can’t all be with them for the workout.” She looks at all of them, shaking her head like a burnt-out mother looking at her kids. 

“But you know we love seeing our cutie doing that. And choosing us to work out with.” Rafayel said, slouching back. Caleb shook his head, “You know it’s 10 at night, right? They shouldn’t be up.” Rafayel stood at his full height, almost daring Caleb to say it again. 

“Course you wouldn’t know, being an insomniac.” The fish said. “And you wouldn’t know a healthy sleep schedule if it hit you in the face.” MC stepped between the two men. 

“Our love bug can take care of themself, but I think it would be wise to remind them to sleep every once in a while.” MC qualifies her own statement with Caleb and Rafayel backing down from each other. 

“I believe maybe I should tell them?” Zayne suggested. MC looked over at him, a look on her face. “You of all shouldn’t be the one to tell them.” Sylus was about to speak up. “You neither.” MC doesn’t even turn to speak to him, just holding up a finger. 

“If anything, that job is relegated to Xavier.” Xavier looked up from where he had been zoned out, blinking a few times like “ had he heard that right?”

The group heard footsteps coming back, and they all scurried off to where they had been before. Sylus on screen, MC right behind the screen, giving him an overly enthusiastic thumbs up. 

“Hey hey hey, I’m back. College is a bitch. I’m sure… actually, you wouldn’t know. MC would know, though. Wouldn’t you?” You heard no response from MC. Not that she could without breaking the game and freaking you out, that is. She never did.

“Oh the silent treatment, you wound me, MC.” You say with mock dramatics. You hear a rich laugh come from Sylus, but his animation wasn’t playing a laugh at all. Strange. 

“Xavier Xavi Xav.” You mutter under your breath as you click to Xavier for the workout option. You hum a tune under your breath, too. They loved it when you sang. 

You hit the 30-minute option, putting in earbuds and sliding your phone in your pants pocket, with zippers on the pocket of course. You couldn’t just lose your phone like that now could you?

Xavier set his character’s animation and audio to play for you, and he sat down. 

“How they run 5 miles in 30 minutes without training never ceases to amaze me.” Xavier said, sitting down in the cafe. The others were lounging around. Zayne hums in agreement. 

“They’re remarkably fast. Average mile time for their age range and biology shows they should be slightly slower, but they defy what’s expected of them.” The doctor smiles, fondness in his voice for you. 

“It means our cutie is special.” Rafayel says like it’s obvious, the others are only just nodding in agreement. 

After your run was over, you were in your place, hunched over the counter with a water in hand. 

“Hey, remind me never to do that again.” You were breathing quite heavily. Astra have mercy. “Actually, forget to do that for a bit I need to get my stamina up again.” 

You looked up from the counter, seeing Xavier looking far too good to be legal. You were staring. Your eyes dropped from his, lower, nope, you’re not a perv. 

“Man college has made me lazy.” You say, distracting yourself from your train of thought. You could ogle them anytime you wanted as long as they could see you like that–.

You did your bed routine. Shower, face, and the ridiculous sleep headband you’d been gifted by your friend. You had no idea why she’d gifted it to you. You have never had to keep it out of your face before when sleeping. It was MC in a different font giving it to you, she liked it on you.

You set your phone down, looking at the LaDS widget on your phone. “Night you guys. I know you’ll be there tomorrow but like, I don’t know g’night.” You turned off your phone and prompt buried yourself in blankets. 

You truly were precious.

oki oki so guys bad news. I had to delete lads because of the storage of the new banner ;-;

DO NOT FEAR. My friends still play, and I still will write! I recently got a job that I can use to save up for a tablet or something. (holy run-on sentence--).

I also got into college today! Here's to keeping up the grind! I will graduate from high school soon, so I'll be busy for a bit.

a/n: slightly shorter than the last one, but I hope that y'all like it. this series is based off my own experiences with the game and is mostly my own reactions so enjoy :)

Today was long. Your mind had been on LaDS all day, though, so that was comforting. 

“Ok, ok. Let’s get this show on the road.” You booted up your gaming phone, the one your weird-ass gaming ex had got you for your birthday a few years back. It was useful now because the space the game took up on your main phone was dreadful.

You watch the screen come to life, “Some long for longevity, before fading to dust.” You sang along as the beginning video played. Caleb looked right at you. You booped his nose the way you usually did when you booted up the game.

“Bruh, I wish they had a reaction for that. It’d be so adorable.” At that moment, the video changed for a second, Caleb seeming it have reacted to your touch. “Wait, he can do that? Omg omg omg” Caleb practically melted at your excitement. 

You entered the game and found Xavier asleep at the table. “Oh my gosh, he’s asleep again. I’ll do my dailies quietly…” You did the auto pursuit on Heartbreaker and Goldie, and when you had to go to the Deepspace Trials and saw it was a Xavier-only day, you just went to the Open Trials and used the others. You didn’t want to wake poor Xavier from sleeping. 

You didn’t know it, but he found it endearing that you didn’t want to wake him up from his nap, even though that was just a preprogrammed sprite, and he was wide awake, listening to you try to be as quiet as possible. Limiting your cursing to whispers was rarely something you were reduced to. 

You went onto pulling the wishes. You got Caleb 5-Stars as per usual. You hadn’t even unlocked the man yet, and you already had 5 of his 5-star memories. 

“Are you trying to tell me something?” Yes. Yes, he was. The video playing in the background didn’t respond, but it lingered for a second longer than usual. You thought it was your mind playing tricks on you after a long day, so you shook your head and went to the story. 

After brute forcing your way through the last battles, with an overleveled Sylus that you definitely didn’t spend days grinding on, of the previous part, you finally got to Caleb’s part.

“Ok ok standard MC doing way more than she has to. Girl, you know you can actually take a break, right? You’re approaching Zayne's levels of workaholism.” Both Zayne and MC would laugh at that later. When you saw MC get caught by Caleb, you were panicking. 

“Anakin, we do not have a planakin, we gotta start panikin–” Caleb and MC wished they could break the script and tell you right there that she was going to be ok, but they couldn’t. So they savored the moment when Caleb broke the tough guy act and was able to embrace MC. 

“YES YES YES YES. YOU GUYS MELT MY HEART I SWEAR :(.” You wanted to put them both in a room and shake them like a rag doll. Standard loving your blorbos behavior. They wished they knew that you were their blorbo too. Even if you never could know it, they wished that you could know too.
