I do also have a soft spot for Mortimer but that’s only because his model from the first game is absolutely gorgeous and sharp.  Gotta love well-dressed men.

As my first ever post for a holiday, what have I decided to grace you on this spooky day?  A new original character?  Nah.  A Mary Sue?  Maybe.  Trash?  You betcha!

But no...

...IT’S A BLATANT SELF-INSERT FOR KKFOS, BABY!  I HAVE NO SHAME!

My genshin self insert is a fae from Snezhnaya, the siren type specifically. I'll change this if it's too game breaking or lore breaking, but much like Lumi is a little snowball who's actually geo, my self insert is a shark siren who's actually pyro. (Hence the orange)

I have a habit of making my self inserts and oc's gingers/redheads, and they're no different. I'm not sure what pronouns genshin would force them to use but since I can do what I want forever, neutral.

They're on the shorter side, probably utilizing the same height model as sucrose and similar - So same height as Xiao - I picture them having the stereotypical shark tail, the fishie ears, sharp teeth, and a fin on their head. I went back and forth about the headfin, I won't lie but I think it might be necessary tbh. I certainly have my work cut out for me in terms of integrating them, and I haven't chosen a rarity because tbh that's hard. But I kind of wanted to go with a tiger shark theme despite them not actually being orange.

I was thinking for their burst animation, they could have paw gloves made out of pyro (fire) that they use to swipe at enemies, similar to Razor's skill in functionality just a longer duration. As for their skill.. Maybe a little shark who floats and chomps enemies? I feel like that'd be too similar to Mualani, so maybe something similar to Iansan, and Citlali, in that it buffs pyro reactions and is just a cute lil on screen visual for how long the buffs last. I'm not 100% and I have 0 animation ability so I won't ever realistically be able to create this for y'all but I like the immersion of it.

Tbh they'd probably be a 4 star? Based off of kit? As for a weapon type, I have no idea. I feel like a bow or catalyst would be closest to me, irl but that also feels a bit like a cop out.. Although with them being a close range character a catalyst would maybe make the most sense?

Their pull line would be a growl and clearing their throat before introducing themselves in a kind of grumpy voice.

I know I want them to have a darker color palette clothes wise, and I'm thinking shorts, because I like the idea of genshin shorts - But I know Snezhnaya is fairly elegant, and I can't imagine them hailing from Natlan.. I feel like tbh they'd likely be a fontaine character based off my personality. Which heavily affects how their clothing design will look.

Their constellation would be a shark, of course. I haven't thought about con effects I'll admit.. maybe later.

I know this is kind of bare bones and stuff - I intend to do splash art for them soon! It's just a lot of work to try and make it in the right style.

Who is this self insert involved with? For funsies, Varka is their adoptive dad - Just because the dynamic is sweet and cute. But romantically? I'm not entirely sure yet if I'll pair them with Anastasya or Amber (who I've been considering as well) To be honest with you! Either way, I think they're neat.

The only visual I have for you for the moment is the lower quality (intentional) art piece with Varka, but I hope it'll serve as a fun little teaser as I intend to redraw that in a more serious & higher quality style eventually.
