As soon as he caught on to what his boyfriend was doing, a soft laugh escaped him as features scrunched up. The fingers in the other’s hair tightened carefully before giving a soft tug. Not enough to pull Charlie from where his lips seemed to be glued to Ryder’s neck but enough to, hopefully, get his attention. “Babe,” he panted softly before squirming against the sensation. His neck always seemed to be one of his more sensitive parts. “Shouldn’t we wait until we know everyone’s gone?” Ryder tried to coax with another tug. As much as he liked being pinned against some locker in the back of the guy’s locker room, he could still hear one or two remaining football players milling about.

Ryder had stopped trying to keep track of how many times they had ended up like this. Woken up in the middle of the night, Nick at his door with some sort of injures where he would spend however long tending to. It was not all too surprising- He worried over the other enough even when he did not randomly show up with some sort of wound. There was another careful swipe of the rag before he pulled away to glance over his face and make sure that he had dabbed away everything. “I’m sure,” Ryder said with a quiet laugh, “you’re not being annoying.”

As realization set in, Ryder had come up with what he planned on telling Charlie when he inevitably questioned him. Both of them had a habit of getting into fights. That was normal. And yet that did not stop Charlie from worrying over him after a particularly bad fight. “Oh!” Ryder’s head popped up at the sound of his boyfriend’s voice. Slouched in one of the chairs in the nurse’s office, he gave Charlie a crooked smile. The blood on his face probably made him look worse than he actually was. “Hey, babe!” / @sunscared

The response did not seem to bother him all that much. “Still a bitch. Just an even bigger bitch than I am.”

It was hard to say how he had noticed that something was wrong. He probably could have brushed it off if he had not noticed that Liam was lying- Something that the younger was always quick to figure out, it seemed. Another part of why he was so skeptical was the fact that the last time he had seen Liam was before school that day. “I never said that you were the one that got hurt.” The only thing that Ryder had implied was that something was wrong. And that his brother was lying about it. “What happened?”

“I don’t know what gave it away.” He had to appreciate the concern. Not to mention the fact that Liam had even gone as far as to bring it up verbally. Ryder had planned on ignoring the feeling and simply saying that he was fine. (Which was harder to do now that he was surrounded by werewolves- Who seemed to know that he was lying whenever he said that he was fine). “Maybe it’s the fact that I’m the only one here that’s human, ya know?”
