The door to the rooftop opened as Ran emerged from it. He leaned on his usual railing lighting a cigarette taking a slow and Deliberate drag from it. Lounged on a nearby bench was Rindou who was scrolling on his phone , He didn't look up at Ran but he definitely noticed the way his brother's energy has shifted .

"You actually showed up? By how pleased you seemed with yourself I thought you'd lock yourself in there?" He finally looked up at him. "Who were you talking to?"

"A girl" He didn't elaborate. Rindou huffed putting his phone back into his pocket , " You speak to almost the entirety of girls her." "She's different".

"Different? How so?"

"She looks at me with such fire in her eyes like she is not bothered by me at all , Most of people would dare to be at her place but she doesn't even seem to care about how much attention I'm giving her"

Rindou stared at his brother for a long second then, made a mocking laugh " Wow, You're whipped "

"I'm not" Ran said with an unreadable expression.

Rindou sighed standing up "Sure, Whatever makes you sleep at night" He took a few steps while continueing "But you know how this goes brother , You get obsessed, you make it weird , and then I have to deal with the fallout." He walked towards the exit , "I'm heading to lunch. Don't take all day being delusional." and left.

Ran didn't follow him immediately, he stayed there for a while staring at the exit. After a final drag from his cigar he threw it in the nearby bin and started striding towards the exit descending the stairs heading to the cafeteria.
