I think connections pages have just become the norm in bandom. It is nice to know who’s in a relationship off the bat, but, it’s not necessary and some people seem to use it to like limit interaction with new people sooooo 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
This is the last post we’re going to make about the situation, because we don’t want to drag it along any further.
To reiterate our stance on a connections page: in our experience, we haven’t seen any real positives on having one, and that’s why we haven’t included one. We feel like connection pages discourage people from interacting with others who are already in romantic relationships simply because they cannot have a romantic plot with them. It also makes it common information, giving characters less to discover about each other. And thirdly, we know this is rp, we know this is fake, but even then, we try to hold some sort of semblance of realism. In what world is there a list of relationships for you to easily access that allows you to know who in your life, close or not, are dating or not?
These are our reasons, and we’re willing to discuss them with whoever has problems with them, off anon and privately. Also, this is not to say we’re stubborn on this. If we hear a good enough argument, we will definitely work on including a connections page.Â
Talk to us, because we’re willing to listen.Â
