Liv, I see you're doing prompt drabbles for people's AUs! So I've had another look at the list and how do you feel about #98 for Good Things Come? ♡
“Why can’t you just believe me?” - “Because you lied about it before.”
molly i know what you wanted me to do with this but I SHALL NOT DO IT because my children are HAPPY NOW and will stay happy forever
“Anna,” he says in his best look how sweet I’m being, you can’t be mad at me now, can you? voice. “Why can’t you just believe me?”
“Because you lied about it before,” she replies, entirely unmoved.
“That was one time!”
“Three times,” she contests. “And the second time was how we ended up with this.”
He can’t but laugh at the sight of his messy-haired wife jabbing a furious finger at the swell of her belly where it strains against the old t-shirt she stole from his drawer. “Okay, but we’re happy about this, so--”
“Not the point!”
“What is the point then?” he asks, playing dumb just because it’s fun, sometimes, now that he knows she’s not going anywhere, to mess with her, just a little.
“The point is that I want to watch Great British Bake-off, and whenever you say you’re going to watch it with me, you end up getting bored halfway through, and then you ask if I wanna fool around--”
“Which you always do--”
“Also not the point!” She huffs and crosses her arms, forgetting, for a moment, that she’s eight months pregnant and needs to aim a little higher than normal to be successful in doing so. “The point is, I want to see some nice British people make some nice Victoria sponges and keep my clothes on for the duration of the evening.”
“Okay,” Kristoff replies with a shrug. “So we’ll sit at opposite ends of the sofa.”
She narrows her eyes. “Promise?”
He holds out a pinky, and she takes it with a sigh. “Fine. But don’t even think about it.”
The ovens aren’t even turned on by the time she’s scooted over to snuggle up beside him, one hand already slipping under the hem of his shirt, but marriage has made him a wiser man, and so Kristoff-- for now, at least-- holds his tongue.

“Did you hear that?” - “I’m telling you, I’m haunted.”
x-files au
“Did you hear that?” Kristoff asks, sitting up so quickly he nearly knocks his head against the low attic ceiling of the A-frame.
“I’ve told you a million times, and I’m telling you again,” Anna grumbles, not bothering to open her eyes. “I’m haunted, not this house. You’re never going to escape all the evil demons and spirits that are out to get you so long as you hang around with me. Muahahaha. Now go back to sleep.”
He rolls his eyes, but he does at least lay down enough that she can shuffle back over and lay her head on his chest once more. “That’s not half as funny as you think it is, considering you do actually seem to have a bunch of aliens following you around.”
“What can I say? They like my ass and the way I sing in the shower. You only like one of the two, so really I don’t know why I don’t let them just abduct me one of these days.”
“I like your shower singing,” he contends. “Just not at six in the morning.”
Another thump sounds from below them, followed by a wail, and this time he sits up so sharply Anna comes up with him with a shriek of surprise. “You had to hear it that time!”
“Kris--”
“Get up, Anna, we have to go--”
“Kristoff--”
“Where’s my flashlight? Did we bring it--”
“It’s the old lady and her husband, you idiot,” Anna says, her point emphasized by the cry of, “Oh, Edgar!” that floats through the air vent next to their bed a moment later. “This is what happens when you insist on saving money by staying with someone’s great-aunt instead of paying for a hotel.”
"...oh.”
She sighs, rolling her eyes affectionately, as he lies back down; even in the dark she can see he’s blushing. “Will you please, please let me get some sleep now?”
“Sorry,” he says, running his fingers through her hair in an attempt to make it up to her; that always helps her fall asleep quicker. “I guess it must be kinda nice for a change, having me be the one believing in the supernatural explanation, huh?”
there was a sweet sweet imagery in this most recent chapter of Good Things Come by @seethedawn and I’m very soft
and then @xmjcx said she wanted to draw it but couldn’t draw and then I was like I kind of can I guess so here we are stretchin’ some not-frequently-used muscles. (i still cant color though yikes.)
#29 assassins AU (ideally early verse before they quit, but I'll take anything that comes out of your brain) ♡♡♡
I’m alive?
Death, as it turns out, feels a lot like an inky, swirling haze in your mind, and a lumpy mattress against your back, and an ache just next to your heart, and cool fingers stroking your hair back from your temples.
And it sounds like a familiar voice saying, “That’s right, take it easy...”
He blinks and immediately squeezes his eyes shut once more to block out the blinding light that’s doing nothing for his pounding headache. He saw enough, though, to realize that it was her-- the same woman he’s been sent to kill twice already, her eyes swollen and her hair falling over her shoulders as she leans over him.
“I’m alive?” he croaks, and a weak laugh escapes her.
“Yes, but it was a near thing.”
He cracks his eyes open just enough to watch her expression. “But you shot me,” he accuses. “In the chest.”
“Yes. With a rubber bullet. You’ve got a horrible bruise, and you hit your head on the way down, but you’ll be alright.”
His eyes widen further in surprise. “But you-- you had a clean shot, and you knew I was alone, and--”
“And I was being watched, or else I wouldn’t have hurt you at all.” She bites her lip. “I can get some more ice if you need.”
He struggles upright until he’s propped up somewhat on his elbows, his eyebrows pulling into a frown. “But...why?”
“Because you were the one with the clean shot last time, and you walked away. And the time before that, we both did, and this time--”
She looks away, her cheeks reddening. For a long moment he stares at her, his fuzzy brain trying to make sense of it all, and then suddenly it clicks and he can’t sit up fast enough, though a low curse escapes him at the pain in his torso. She turns back to him quickly, moving to set one hand on his shoulder and the other on his back to support him. “Easy, now,” she breathes, and suddenly they’re in kissing distance, both of them wide-eyed as they wait to see who’ll make the first move this time.

#Repost @seethedawnknitting (@get_repost) ・・・ I'm sitting here this morning, crocheting little hearts to give out tomorrow at Pride, thinking about the young person at Pulse whose body was never claimed because their father was so angry to have a gay kid that he couldn't even be bothered to bury them. Thinking about the thousands of gay men who died of AIDS in the 80's & 90's (and I'm sure even today) with no family members by their side. Thinking of a mom who wrote about giving her son over to the Devil on his wedding day. Thinking of the huge number of homeless LGBTQ teens, most there because their families have rejected them. I know these little hearts don't fix any of that. I know that the LGBTQ community has experienced pain beyond what I've mentioned here, beyond what I can even imagine. But I hope that for just a minute, these little scraps of yarn will communicate love and acceptance and encouragement to the people who take them. It's a small act of kindness. But that's the beautiful thing about kindness. It doesn't have to be big, it just has to BE. #crochet #crochetlove #crochetforacause #seethedawn #lgbtq #pridemonth #prideparade
