Jesus Christ Joyce. Short answer: yes. Long answer: fun and quirky in the moment, you get love and affection, if it goes bad that’s basically a life lesson and off you go to enjoy the single life and if goes well congratulations you have a life long partner that you love and adore and who loves and adores you back what more could you want? what about the pain of breakups? well. those suck, but so do exams and car crashes and paper cuts and as much as we try to go all control freak on our lives, that ain’t happening. Grab some ice cream and bundle up bc breakups will be as common as the cold quite soon.

yeah, I never sat down to think about it but that’s why snapchat’s not very stressful, the photos are impermanent and you’re never sure how many people the snap you just got was (or wasn’t!) sent to. snapchat stories don’t have to be pretty or interesting enough for an FB or tumblr or instagram post. if people don’t want to see them, they can just tap through. there’s no likes or upvotes or comments. it’s just a beautiful, trashy, safe void.
