In lotm, once a beyonder gets to a certain point, that being sequence 2-1, they require what can easily be called anchors to maintain mental stability. However, in the later parts of lotm, there is one notable exception... ("With the sole exception of Satoru Gojo, of course.")
(I'm not spoiler-ing the above because I think this is general information in a way, or should be)
Now actually tho, our exception is Amon. This is because 'He' mentions that all of his believers are 'Himself'. This is because of the seq 4 ability Parasitism. One of the capabilities of the ability is that when a deep level of Parasitism is achieved, the Beyonder can create an avatar. Avatars are noted to be similar in concept to the Virtual personas a seq 3 Dream Weaver, and can be concluded/infered to have a similar effect to what I will continue to describe. Through this, Amon was able to make numerous avatars of 'Himself', and further, they were able to act as anchors for himself. This reduced the need for human anchors.
Extending this idea, I believe it possible that the Seer pathway could do something similar. At sequence 5, Marionettist, a Seer pathway Beyonder gains the ability to control marionettes. Theses marionettes for all intents and purposes, are dead, containing no mind (they still have superficial thoughts tho). However, the key point is, that they still have a soul. While not explicitly stated, it can be greatly inferred that what makes an anchor is the soul of a person. Amon has a soul, in a sense, and that when split into avatars, each operating independently, the soul could also be considered independent. Marionettes have also been seen utilizing prayers, and praying to existences. Specifically, Sea God Kalvatua, and this notably created a point of light upon the Sea God Scepter.
This means that a marionette can count as an anchor for a deity or high sequence beyonder. Furthermore, when looking at the ritual for ascending to seq 1 Attendant of Mysteries, it requires a large town/settlement of at least 5000 people, consisting of marionettes. Due to the extreme dissociation required, every marionette has its own personality, beliefs, and ideas (not to forget the fundamental soul). Klein made the town believe primarily in the Evernight Goddess. Again, it is not confirmed if there was only one anchor from Klein or multiple because of the marionettes. If there are multiple, then that means a beyonder of the Seer pathway could exist without the need of human anchors.
As far as I am aware the only pathways that can theoretically exist without anchors are Marauder, Seer, Spectator, and whatever other path I haven't considered. (If you have any ideas, please share)
