When Longing Meets Belief
I think of a future where you and I may no longer be.â¨At times it feels like a sentence ââ¨as if God has closed His hand against us,â¨a punishment for the wrongs we cannot erase.â¨But then another voice whispersâ¨that it is only my fear,â¨a shadow my mind casts on the light.
I long for a life that stretches wide and forever with you.â¨Yet I question â is that desire mine alone?â¨Am I holding tighter to my own dreamâ¨than to the will of the One who writes eternity?
Iâve been learning of Adam,â¨how through him the door was opened,â¨how humanity began to add their wordsâ¨to the Word that was already enough.â¨And I wonder:â¨am I guilty of the same?â¨Do I add my own longingâ¨to the hope of what God has spoken?
No wonder my spirit feels torn ââ¨caught between faith and desire,â¨between what I wantâ¨and what I do not yet understand.
