@seeasunset sent... Leon would receive three gifts. All wrapped neatly in an ocean-themed wrapping paper. One of them - the smaller one of the three - held a beautiful box and in that is a white and blue bracelet, decorated by sea-horses and sandcastles. The second gift - averaged size - is a book filled with poems about him. And the third one is a plushie shaped sea manta with a Santa hat. There's a card sitting on one of them. Written on it is happy holidays and signed by "Santa V."
"Happy Holidays" He'd picked up the card first, reading the contents aloud. "I wonder who this mysterious Santa V could be…" He looks directly at Vasco, his eyes narrowed playfully. He sets the card on the mantle before he moves on to his gifts. The sea manta ray is picked up first. It's cute; ever since he's started to learn more about sea life, he's taken a liking to them, those and lionfish. "He'll keep me company while you're away," he means it most reassuringly.
Leon reaches for the smallest box. An idle smile sits on his lips as he unwraps it, which only grows as he unearths the box from the ocean-blue wrapping paper. His fingers linger, tracing the engravings on the box before opening it. He can't help but grin at what's inside.
His golden eyes glance up to meet Vasco's before he picks up his last gift. It's the size, shape, and weight of a book. Leo can only guess what's underneath the wrapping paper. After he tosses the wrapping aside, he flips the book open, observing that there isn't a summary on the back or a title on the cover. Although, he's quick to realize why. -- Pausing to read a page, Leon recognizes Vasco's handwriting. The silence continues as he skims through a couple more pages. This time, when Leon looks up, he gazes at Vasco, the features of his face, soft as ever, and his eyes full of admiration. "Vasco, my love, I think you've outdone yourself... thank you." Though he adored everything, he will cherish this.
