Two of my sketches/illustrations to beautiful fic âSecurityâ (season one) by @dindjarindiaries . I havenât been drawing for a while and this inspired me, so thank you :)Â
I didnât have any idea what to do with the backgroud though, so yeahÂ
And I wonât tell you to which chapters in particular these drawings refer to- go check and read yourself ;)
Btw this is my first ever work like this posted on tumblr. Iâll appreciate any comments and advices, love you <3
oh baby i got so many (Non-descriptive spice under the cut because this is my Christian Roblox Server) (although i think you know that my non-descriptive is a little bit more descriptive than your non-descriptive so...ya NC-17 for safety reasons ope)
most of these surround pregnant astra...what can i say
din baby-proofing the cottage and Astra is like...sir we have like 8 months left...
and also its like a cottage...so why does he have the outlet plugs anyways...
Astra is getting treated like the princess she is. that is all.
during the first trimester sheâs struggling with sickness and such and Din is so attentive, making her soup so she stays healthy, making sure the cracks in the cottage are filled in so that the morning sun doesnât wake her prematurely, because mama is TIRED and needs her rest! Super detailed things that he doesnât think she notices (but she definitely does).
Winta and Astra niece and Aunt bonding time! Crafts! giggles! Teasing and making fun of Dinâs overbearing protectiveness!
Astra sitting down by the community fire at night and telling stories to all the kiddos about Dinâs bravery in rescuing her and Grogu, about the Jedis they met, all the adventures! all the kiddos are like :O and hanging on her, begging for more until Din pries each and everyone of them off because they could hurt the baby
First sign of pain and din is running to the village apothecary like đ„șđ€Č spare herbs for my sexc pregnant wife who is in pain?
I donât see Astra as the type to be self-conscious abt her changing body but Din does not spare a single compliment anyways. Manâs like âYour stretch marks? Beautiful. The extra fat on your body? Immaculate.â
so obviously Astra doesn't want to go to the doctor so they probably donât get a true ultrasound?? girl you tell me youâre the author BUT din spends their nights rubbing her belly and describing what that baby is gonna look like and heâs surprisingly not accurate because he thinks the baby is gonna look like Astra because sheâs the most beautiful thing to him, but the baby actual looks more like him, much to astraâs delight.
spicey time!
PREGNANCY SPICE
So in her first trimester sheâs obviously feeling like crap and is not in the mood that much
but in the second trimester? pregnancy glow trimester
âcan you stay up all night...â uuhhhhh O_o
Miss Molly if you think Touch It Softly was not in Security canon, think again...with Astraâs luscious pregnancy glow hair? Astra doesnât even need a comb because his hands are always running through her hair. And especially during their time alone ;) that hair is getting pulled, carressed, carded through...and afterwards he practices his braiding for when their little girl makes her way into the world yes molly din djarin daughter or else
Astra is getting praised so much itâs almost annoying.
and after the deed, Astra lies with her hand on his chest and is whispering how heâs going to be the best father their child could ask for.
also since she is pregnant, her b*****s are preparing themselves, and something about the warm weight of them is oddly comforting to Din. tldr; he likes to have something to hold when he sleeps, and Miss Astra certainly doesnât mind.
That Padme and Anakin gif I tagged you in
innocent walks in the sorgan fields never end so pure as they started.
And afterwards they sit in the sunshine and din makes her a little flower crown with the wildflowersđ„șđ„șđ„șđ„ș SORRY THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SPICEY NOT SOFT
âthese flowers smell so sweet,â Astra says, tucking one behind his ear.

chapter 2: the princess
Din studies you curiously as your eyes observe the child playing with the silver shifter knob. He looks up at you and coos affectionately. You look at Dinâand he sees it as a request for permission to hold the baby. He offers you a simple nod and continues to watch closely as you gingerly pick up the green bundle of joy. The child seems to rest easy in your arms, laughing as he shows the knob to you. You giggle in return, poking the knob and then the tip of the childâs nose. He lets out another laugh of pure joy.
Dinâs head is tilted to the side as he continues to watch the scene. Heâs helplessly curious about you. Now that heâs thinking about it, heâs seen you before, but heâs trying to recall when. The gears of his mind continue to turn as he watches the child use his free hand to touch your cheek. Din tries not to let his attention wander to the way your eyes glow at the child. He observes your clothing and equipment more closely, and somehow that becomes his key: he remembers seeing you just earlier in the day. Youâd left the cantina just after heâd walked in. Heâd only gotten a quick glance at you then, but the outfit alone was enough to jog his memory. He had, deep down, been hoping that Greefâs overdramatic greeting hadnât been the factor that drove you away.
Deciding heâs been silent long enough, Din rises from his chair. You immediately draw your attention away from the child and look at him. Even the child seems to get the memo as he looks at his fatherly figure with curious eyes.
âIâll show you around,â Din says, taking the child from your arms and climbing down from the cockpit. He sets the child onto the floor as you join them, finally taking the time to look around. Din is glad to see a type of admiration in your eyes as you observe the space; most would trash it.
âThis is a lot of space for just one person,â you comment absentmindedly, blinking a few times shortly after. âI suppose itâs good, now that you have three.â
âTwo,â Din corrects you. âThe child is small. He wonât need much room.â
You nod and Din has no trouble seeing the way youâre evidently trying to suppress some type of excitement. He doesnât understand: Why would someone ever be excited to venture around with me, especially while Iâm on the run? His thoughts are interrupted by you gesturing towards a room just beside the ladder. âIâm assuming this is the vac-tube.â
Din nods at you, holding back a chuckle at your comment. He presses a few buttons on his vambrace to make the doors to his armory creak open. Your face lights up at the massive number of weapons that sit there. Din feels oddly comfortable with the fact that youâre so delighted at the sight of them.
âThese ought to be handy,â you say, stepping forward a bit to observe them further.
Din nods again, continuing to look at you. Heâs still curious about you; all he knows is your name. How did you find him? What did you do before you decided to venture out with him? Why the hell would you ever do something like this out of the blue? âYouâre a fighter?â Dinâs question comes out sounding more like a statement than a question.
âYes, I was trained from a young age,â you answer him. âThatâs why I have thisâ.â You begin to reach for your holster and Din canât control his response. He instantly goes for his and starts to take the blaster out, but you put your hands up in surrender before he can even think of lifting it.
Din, feeling embarrassed immediately, puts the blaster away in a quick motion. âSorry. Instinct.â
âI understand,â you remark with a small laugh. âThat wasnât the best idea on my part. I wouldâve done the same thing.â You sigh. âYou, evidently, now know that I have a blaster.â
âWhat else have you used?â
You shrug. âWhatever I have to. I can use anything. But the only other thing I carry is a knife.â This time, youâve learned your lesson, and Din is pleased to see that you donât go for the knife.
Din gives you a nod. âGood.â He then closes the armory, taking you through the rest of the ship. He points out the supplies, including food and medpacs, two different sleeping areas, and all his other storage areas. When he finishes, he goes back to observing you. Your eyes are bright as you take all the new things in and he wonders if youâve ever been in such a high-stake situation before. He needs to know more.
âThanks for the tour,â you say, breaking your momentary silence. âIâm excited to be a part of the crew.â
Din tilts his head at you. âIâm not sure you know what youâve signed up for.â
You frown slightly, causing Din to fear that heâs worded his thoughts incorrectly. âIâm quite aware of your situation. Who you are and what you did wasnât much of a secret on Nevarro.â
Din grimaces, grateful that you canât see it. He hadnât expected you to bite back like that. âThe people of Nevarro arenât fond of me.â
âWell, you did take a lot of their jobs. I guess youâre just too good at yours. And now, youâve gotten the biggest reward in the parsec and youâve broken the code of the Guild. I donât blame them.â
Din isnât thinking of those hunters any longer. Heâs just curious about you. âWhat about you?â
You furrow your brow. âWhat about me?â
âWhat did youâwhat do youâthink of me?â
He watches as you bite your lip in concentration. Itâs the first time youâve had to look away from his visor. Din doesnât take it as a good sign. âYou? Well⊠I thought you must be an impressive warrior, to have done so many jobs so fast.â
Din tilts his head. âThatâs it?â
You finally look back up at him, saying nothing. Din doesnât mind, because now he has a different question.
âWhy did you leave the cantina today?â
You seem taken aback by his question. Din would be afraid that he crossed a line if he wasnât yearning so much for your answer. âYou saw me there?â
âBarely. I saw you leave.â
You clear your throat, crossing your arms in a protective manner. âI was done with my drink.â
Din refuses to believe such a simple answer. He remembers now that he could practically sense the annoyance coming off you in waves in that moment. You hadnât walked out, youâd stalked out. âIt wasnât because of Kargaâs words about me?â
Your eyes widen involuntarily. Din knows heâs gotten his answer and, at your silence, he continues to try to put the pieces together.
âYou heard about the child. You were upset with me turning him in.â
âHow could I not be?â Suddenly, youâre defensive. Din understands this; heâs picked at you long enough. âHeâs a child. Didnât you have any sympathy for the poor thing?â
âI did. Thatâs why I went back.â
âAnd it didnât strike you the first time?â
Din clearly sees the fiery passion within you as you speak without holding back. âI didnât know what to do. I was trying not to break the code.â
âAre you sure it wasnât just for this?â You hit your knuckles against the cool beskar on his shoulder.
Now, Dinâs beginning to feel defensive. âI had a code to uphold, a deal I couldnât break. Looking back now, I wouldnât have taken it back.â
âWhat if you had been too late? What would you have done then?â
Din canât think of a response. He doesnât know. Youâve cornered him, and while he wants to lash out and protect himself from your words, he can'tâbecause youâre right.
Suddenly, you shake your head as if youâre shaking all the thoughts from it. Your gaze drops as your cheeks heat up slightly. âIâm sorry, I⊠shouldnât haveâ.â
âNo,â Din interrupts firmly. âItâs all right. I understand.â
âNo, itâs not okay.â You finally look back up at him. He sees a flash of sadness in your eye, but it disappears quickly. âIâm not like this. I donât dwell on the past and Iâm not here to condemn you. Iâm here to help you. And Iâll do anything you say to make that happen, and to protect that child.â
Din sees the true honesty and determination in your expression, and he begins feeling less and less skeptical about the stranger heâs brought aboard. âThank you.â You nod in response, and after you do so, your hand flies up to suppress a yawn. Din tilts his head in sympathy. âYou need rest.â
You wave your hand. âNo, Iâm fine! Iâ.â
âPlease. You can rest. I still have to find a safe planet to land on for more resources.â
Din watches as you sigh, giving in to your more tired side. He leads you into the more spacious of the two rooms, where a simple cot rests with a thin blanket rolled up near it. Din doesnât even ask if thereâs anything else you need, since youâve already assured him that the setup is perfect. As heâs about to leave the room, you stop him briefly.
âWait!â you call softly, catching his attention. He turns around to look at you, and itâs the first time youâve appeared to be timid. âI just really want to apologize for what I said earlier. I⊠I was prejudiced before, influenced by the other people of Nevarro. What you did for the child, risking your life to save him, shows me who you really are.â
Din feels a slight blush arise at your words and heâs grateful his helmet conceals it from you. âItâs all right. Donât worry.â
You nod. âIâve also done things I regret in the past, and I havenât ended up in everyoneâs good graces. Donât let it faze you.â
Din almost wants to smile at those words. âI donât.â With that, Din turns back around, closing the door and heading for the cockpit. As he sits back down into the pilotâs chair, he lets out a sigh, his thoughts consumed only by you and your conversations. Heâs still so intrigued by you and he canât get the image of you out of his mind. He doesnât quite understand why you joined in the first place. Din just wants to know you, but he canât expect you to spit out your entire life story to him within mere hours of knowing each other. He definitely wouldnât do that.
A cooing sound interrupts his thoughts, causing Din to turn around and see the child poking his head out from the entrance of the cockpit. He waddles over to Din, who then picks him up and sets him on his knee. Din looks at the child, observing his endless affection and wonder. After being a foundling once, he canât help but feel the strong urge to protect this child with everythingâand, somehow, he senses that you feel the same exact way.

I wonât reveal the title of the chapter just yet, but hereâs a little preview of what you can expect from the first chapter of the season two installment.
Din stops before the entrance gives way to the arena, leaning over to you without looking your way. âHeâs over there,â Din tells you in a hushed voice, gesturing to a place in the arena opposite from where you stand. You see the one-eyed man Din had been describing to you earlier sitting in the front row. For some reason, thereâs a pit in your stomachâthough you sense Dinâs feeling the same amount of unease. âIâm not sure who we can trust, so the less they know about us, the better.â Din slyly points to an open place at the back of the crowd. âIâd like you two to wait there. If anything should happen, Iâll handle it myself.â
âAnd Iâll wait for your signal if you need me,â you finish, seeing Din nod to confirm your words. âAll right. Justâ.â
ââstay safe,â Din completes your sentence, chuckling a bit as his hand gently hovers over your lower back again. âI know. I will.â He pauses, still remaining in place as you now share a gaze that lasts longer than usual. Din releases a grunt after some time, looking away with a frustrated swing of his helmet. âHaarâchak.â Damn it. âI want to kiss you.â
You laugh softly, shaking your head as you use a bracelet Din had fashioned for you to bring the babyâs pram alongside you. âI guess that just gives you more incentive to stay safe, then, huh?â
Din looks at you again. âYou two alone are always a big enough incentive for me.â

When you come to again, it's solely from the sudden and sickly feeling in your stomach. Your eyes nearly double in size at the sensation, your mouth dry as you attempt to let the feeling pass.
It won't.
You set the sleeping baby aside as you rush to stand up and make your way to the vac tube, releasing the contents of your earlier meal into the metal bowl. When it's all out, you heave a sigh, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand as you groan and lean against the nearest wall. You accredit the sudden bout of sickness to the events as of lateâthe effects of the near-hypothermia, the stress of that and the conversation you'd just had, the aftereffects of being tossed around the hull during the crash. It makes sense. But that doesn't mean it wasn't unpleasant.
Thankfully, when you make your way back over to where Din had set up the heater, you find your canteen still rather full of water. You draw a few little sips to help your stomach settle further, already feeling more like yourself as you go to sit back next to the baby.
skekdkdjsk i love how din just argues with his wife and tries to jetpack away from all his problems in the new chapter...what a husband move lol men are a mess (he is a mess rightfully so in this scenario though)
Honestly sjdnsndd and we all know heâs about to feel really guilty for doing that because he loves her so much but heâs just a big mess and needs a hug đ
