yeeee!!!😄 best friends🥰
24. Fairy Something sorta self-indulgent, as it’s part of my own nuzlocke based stories. My main trainer character, Ismerie, was brought into Hisui in a similar manner as Ingo, just not at the same time, nor at the same place, and ended up under Jubilife Village care. She became part of the Security Corp to earn her keep and eventually became the one Security Corp to accompany Rei (Arceus’ chosen) during his survey outings.
During the modern part of her life, Ismerie had a bond with a Celebi, whom was really upset about her time misplacement, and it sought to find her. What was the mythical’s surprise when it did find her, and there were two other misplaced humans with her!!
Smoliv again but this time in color
It's primarily the Survey Corps members that go out in Hisui, mapping things, marking where things are people might want, and so on. Security members get to tag along in an attempt to protect the Survey members from the various dangers and try to set new permanent bases for people to securely stop at. This doesn't always go as it should.
Take today, for example. I'm going through the Crimson Moorlands, happily surveying pokemon, and I come across a terribly lost security corps member who has gotten entirely turned around. They were supposed to be doing a simple straight forward run from one area to another to provide additional support, but she ended up way out in the middle of nowhere. I ended up escorting her back to base camp so she wouldn't get lost again!

Pokemon Legends Arceus did not and does not give enough hype.
There's a sidequest where one of the Security Corps guards asks you to check the beach in the evening because a lot of villagers are reporting a kid hanging out with a Drifloon (known for kidnapping kids) but all the kids are denying even knowing a Drifloon. So I run down there and sure enough, end up saving a kid from a Drifloon (he lied about knowing the Drifloon because he thought they were buddies).
Once I report back to the guard, she thanks me and says she'll immediately go get the Captain to station more guards at the beach. I didn't think of it until I turned around and noticed one of the guards, Kew, wasn't at his post at the gate anymore. Odd. Did the game already...?
I run down to the beach again, and there's Kew! Watching the sunset near another one of the village kids with no Drifloon in sight. And he maintains that schedule for the rest of the game, spending the morning and afternoon at his usual post and guarding the beach in the evenings.
Anyway, 10/10 Security Corps more effective than any given cop.
[Security Corps] Specialization: Area Denial
Qwilfish guards from the waterside, chasing away any wild Pokemon that swim too close to the settlement. As a second line of defense, Qwilfish lays out Toxic Spikes along the coastline. Anyone careless enough to brush against these traps gets badly poisoned.
Laying out the Toxic Spikes
Edit: pissed at how much better it looks with dark outlines
