     “Most people don’t smile after gettin’ shot so many times,” she muses out loud as she swiftly reloads her pistol after laying one more bullet into the raider to make sure he’s truly dead. She was heading back to Diamond City when she got caught in the middle of a hail of bullets, and she had no choice but to find cover somewhere and fight off the raiders who didn’t notice her until most of them were dead. Piper doesn’t put her weapon away as she approaches the stranger on the floor, confusion and caution visible on her face. 

     “So you’re either high as hell, or a synth. I don’t know which one’s worse.” She steps over the wasted body of a raider, raising her gun to the stranger’s face, just in case if he had something hidden up his sleeve.

Tony squints a moment, from under the fringe of his over-long hair and over the Mister Gutsy he's been ripping the internals out of (honestly, Robco is a tragedy, but General Atomics takes it to Shakespearean levels and if he's going to have these things acting as watchdogs in all the little communities in the Mojave wasteland, it's not going to be with shoddy internals and buggy code - there's enough here to salvage and reprogram and rebrand Stark tech, and he's damn well going to do it), because of all the answers he's expected, an apology for not being up to snuff certainly hasn't been it.  At least not without a snide tone.  Maybe he's still coming to grips with the fact that other people haven't wanted their own ais and bots to be as...Free-thinking as he prefers, but it certainly causes a line of concern to crease between his eyebrows.

Which...Actually, that does raise a good point, doesn't it?  He puts aside the wire snips and wipes his hands on an already filthy rag (what isn't filthy in the shithole the world's found itself it?), before leaning back against the wall, bracing the stool in place with a foot against the table the Mister Gutsy is dissembled on.
