You ever think about how weird Sectuh V must’ve seemed to other Sectuhs in the KND?
I’m not saying that because of how adept they were. Not necessarily. More how secluded they were from everyone else.
All throughout the series, Setcuh V was almost completely apart from the others. Where other operatives mingled and had many friends, the only exceptions to each other they had was in Sectuh W, and they came in almost halfway through the series.
Even Numbuh 86 avoided them, and they went to the school. Fanny didn’t like them, obviously, but when they’re the kids who protect your neighborhood, wouldn’t it be in your best interest to check in from time to time, see how the wind is blowing, maybe trade some non-confidential information?
Operatives mingle at events, but Sectuh V stays together. That’s for the sake of Main Characters doin’ Main Characters Things, but to the other field soldiers it must seem odd.
Numbuh 362 struggled to have free time with every operative hanging on her word. Sectuh V knew so little about the last Supreme Leader that they didn’t recognize him at first, barring Nigel and probably Abby, and seem to be repeating the same process with Rachel, never really calling and instead going straight to the people who hand out the missions.
They keep to themselves and are incredibly defensive and confused when other operatives or Sectuhs get involved, as they see it as screwing up their thing, rather than simply going through a different route.
They were like their own little organization WITHIN an organization.
One more gosh darn thing I haven’t understood yet, in CAKED-ONE, the Sectuh V were ten years old, in caked 3, aren’t they supposed to be 13 by now?????????? How do they, like, reach CAKED-FIVE??? Um, ????
