It happened very suddenly. The heavens opened up and down poured the rain. You didn’t have an umbrella and you weren’t dressed right for it. Very quickly this rain turned into hailstones, bouncing rapidly off the pavements and cars around you hard and fast. Large balls of ice, one by one, smacking down on everyone and everything around you.
A crazy, freak storm had hit Baberton. It started as the soon fondly named killer hail, and then the wind picked up, and up, and the rain and hail came down, and down.... and you, along with however many others around you, made for the closest building that would hold you all and shelter you until the worst was over. Baberton High School.
You all take shelter in the school, huddled by the entrance and in the common areas or the cafeteria, or even a few unlocked classrooms; listening to the pounding of the rain and hail. A few of you begin to get the feeling that you’re not alone. That you’re being watched. That somebody was already lurking in this school after hours and you’ve disturbed their peace.
One or two random people around you begin to drift away and vanish and it raises suspicions. Strange noises echo through the halls. Some people leave, running out to get battered by the storm, but the rest of you tell yourselves you’re being stupid. Ridiculous. Nobody went missing - they just decided to brave the storm and go home. Nobody is lurking the halls - your imagination is playing tricks on you.
Admin Notes: This event mostly explains itself, I would assume, but the main gist is that everybody is trapped in the school. -A was already there, maybe along with a couple of their little henchmen carrying out some task. Then you all come in and disturb the peace. -A starts playing with everyone there, making noises such as footsteps echoing, music distantly playing quiet enough that some people may feel they’re imagining it or going mad, tap, tap, tap... that sort of thing. Basically, just messing with everyone and making them all scared and suspicious and trapped. Because it’s so dangerous outside but now it also feels dangerous indoors too. Your character can stay with a crowd or group. They can also wander off or investigate and somehow never return to the group and that gets noticed. If your character wanders off and doesn’t come back until after the storm ,when the police will be able to arrive, then -A would have locked them in somewhere. This could be a classroom or a toilet stall or just about anything you can think up. You are allowed to godmod -A the tiniest bit (though you will not come face to face or have a conversation with them. If you’re unsure send a message to the main (not the -A blogs) and we’ll let you know if your idea is okay or something -A would do!
Places that are unlocked/open to your characters: One history classroom, two English classrooms, three science rooms, an art room,. The library. The cafeteria. Two of the locker rooms/seating areas. One toilet/bathroom. The gymnasium.
Extra Information: The storm will hit Baberton tomorrow, December 29th (all day) and will end on the 1st January. To give everyone time to play things out. Please like this post if you will be participating in this event!
