As far as we can tell, most of the secret items from last week were found. This leaves us with a bigger mystery to solve: What do the symbols on the notes mean? 

We know that they are Futhark Runes, as pointed out by one of the people who found them. But we don’t know what they mean. Whatever it means, we think this holds the key to everything: the reason these things exist; the reason they are hidden; and what to do next. 

So far, these are the letter that have been found:

Week 1: i l l o m

Week 2: e r l k 

We can’t make sense of these. What could they mean? We welcome any ideas.

We are still missing one letter from an item that was not found. In case you missed it, here’s the breakdown of the locations of the items last week, with links to who found them: 

Atop A Pillar - This one was found at Mt. Bonnell. 

In The Cave - This is the missing item. Someone sent us a picture at that matched exactly the clue, but the item was not there. Either someone found it and has not reported it, or something else is going on...

In The Sky - This item was found at the Duncan Park BMX park, hanging “in the sky”

In The Walls - This one was found at Palm Park, in the amphitheater that looks like a castle. 

Looks like four have been found. Thank you John and Mykaela! That leaves one to go. 

The previous items seem to be notes with a pin inside of them and a symbol we can’t quite decrypt yet. One was found folded inside the flag of Cesar Chavez’s statue (”cesar’s flag”), one under the foot of the MLK statue (”the king”), one inside of a message board (”behind the wood”), one at the foot of a statue at the founatian (the “knight”). That leaves one more......
