Snippet from second D.A.I.R. one shot
If I finish it I'll post it tomorrow, but I'm not so sure about my quickness ^^'
*
“This is just the perfect day to write. The rain outside, the quiet it brings… I mean, I would have spent the whole morning with Blair, but she’s busy with her interview…” Dan doesn’t even have the time to finish his sentence, when they hear a loud thud, coming from the next room. Just the one where Blair is having the interview. Dan places the plate with the rest of the pancakes on the table.
“I guess I’ll go to check on her…” He mumbles.
“THIS IS NOT WHAT WE AGREED!” He and Dorota hear Blair snapping.
“In a rush!” Dan adds, running away.
He enters the room in time to snatch the stapler from Blair’s hand before she throws it at the poor, scared journalist, who miraculously dodged the Columbia University yearbook she has thrown at him in the first place.
That’s the thud they heard.
“Blair, please, calm down!” “I’m extremely calm, Dan; it’s this guy who apparently doesn’t know how to do his job, because he asked me something very off-limits and he’s well aware of that!” She growls.
“Oh, c’mon, Miss Waldorf, former Mrs. Grimaldi, it was only an innocent question!” The journalist justifies.
“I’ll show you innocence!” She glares at him, then she seems to calm down. “On second thought, if you stay I can give you a really juicy scoop.” Blair says, so accommodating that Dan wonders if he should keep holding her still or let her go. “Really?” The journalist reaches for her. “Yes, the scoop about how I ended up in jail after I brutally attacked a way too nosy journalist: you!” She snaps, trying to grab the stapler again, but Dan is faster. Not so fast as the journalist who runs away for his life. “I’m not so sure if now I want to read the article he’s going to write about me.” She grumbles, as Dan finally lets her go.
“So, from stapler stealer to stapler thrower? You are starting to worry me, honey.” He sighs, stealing a smile from her, as he’s holding her hands.. “Do you care to tell me what happened?”
“Well, you know that I’m trying to reinvent myself, don’t you? And this ‘Influential women’s daughters’ interview seemed like such a nice idea.” Blair starts her report. “And everything was going so well, until that journalist so subtly shifted the focus from the main topic to the damn Monaco issue!” “Well, not very nice from him.” Dan grumbles.
“You’re telling me! Maybe I can still reach him downstairs and teach him a good lesson.” Blair is about to rush outside, but Dan manages to stop her in time. “Easy, lioness!” He chuckles, holding her still, as he massages her shoulders.
Blair turns behind, to look at him.
“So what? Are you going to dress like a lion tamer to tame me with a whip? C’mon, it could be so much fun!” She clicks her tongue. This triggers in Dan’s mind tons of erotic scenarios. After all, they went to see ‘Cats’ a few nights before and he already has several fantasies about a feline Blair since then.
“Please, honey, don’t give me kinky ideas…” * (spolier/not spoiler: then a little smut can begin ;P )
Moderna Man, Part 2.
Kudos to the Cochise County Health and Social Service Department, the Fry Fire District EMS crews, and students from the Cochise College Nursing School.
The problem with moving an hour away in-between your two vaccine doses is that I had to leave my house at 7:30 a.m. this morning to make sure I arrived with enough time to make my 9 a.m. appointment. The entire three and a half hour experience was totally worth it.
I don’t know how to dress my body anymore. Since I rarely leave my house I was quite clueless how to dress a growing baby bump since I only wear leggings around the house (and didn’t want to wear them out today). Pretty happy with the outfit I put together of a dress, cardigan, leggings and boots. Finding shoes that look good with an outfit is always the hardest part for me. Normally, when I used to wear dresses every day, I’d always paired them with nude flats or with my black wedges. But now, I’m such a sucker for comfortable feet - especially since I knew I had the potential to be standing in line for awhile - I needed something more. Glad the boots didn’t look ridiculous and served me well.
I’m constantly impressed with how organized the actual vaccine distribution process has been. BUT, today when I got my second shot I barely felt it. Like, such little impact that for most of the day I was convinced I didn’t actually get the shot - that they just scraped me and I wouldn’t be fully vaccinated and would be an unprotected fraud. Thankfully, 11 hours later, my arm is sore and I’m getting pretty tired so maybe I did actually get it.
As a reward for doing anything, I got myself a Starbucks (as is how I handle life now, apparently). Today, I tried out the Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew and omg it was everything I ever wanted in a coffee drink. Since getting pregnant and stopping keto I’ve been chasing a super sweet coffee drink and I think I’ve finally found it. Can’t wait to order it again and to see if it was a fluke or if I’m actually in love.
Is 8 p.m. too early for bed? I think not.
talkin’ ‘bout my vaccination ...

That Second Shot Kicked My Butt, Y’all
Symptoms kicked in about 7 hours after my second moderna shot: queasy stomach, loss of appetite, headache, fatigue, chills, major muscle aches all over. Couldn’t stand up for more than 10 minutes without feeling nauseous. Couldn’t sleep for more than a few hours at a time. It’s day 4, and I’m just starting to get back to normal (I hope).
Just wanted to put that out there for anyone who’s getting moderna. Everyone reacts differently, but I would highly recommend you take the following day off, at the very least, just in case. (FYI, first moderna shot was not that bad.)
This is an actual photo of how I look right now, LOL.
I’m still very glad I did it!

[...inside the oven. There is no need for a second shot. Be careful with that thing. He's gonna kill you.]
