Do you have children? How do you feel about that decision? Do you want to start a family in the new realm, should the Fates permit the creation of new Gods between divines?

“I love children. However, since a young age I decided that I wanted to be free to do whatever I want, and that I would be able to achieve more if I wasn’t distracted by sex and having kids. 

Sometimes though, I see children playing and feel saddened that I won’t be able to have a family of my own. But things are better this way. Sex always complicates things.”

Many heard about the Skoll Foundation's Social Entrepreneurs Challenge that launched last week. Each week there is a new bonus challenge to increase the impact of donations made through this online fundraising event. Here is this weeks challenge:

The top 20 organizations, this week, that get the greatest number of donations (not dollars) from donors who have not yet given to Water For People during this Challenge will win $5,000 each.

                My therapist has reminded me once again that having a journal doesn't do any good if I do not write in it. She gave me theme in an attempt to get me to write this week, although I’m tempted just to write random words without care simply out of spite, but I suppose I pay her for a reason.  Well, must admit I've always been good at getting my homework done.

                What Am I Thankful For?

                Fuck if I know. Which I suppose is a problem, and the whole reason I take pills and see a therapist.

                I guess it is good I’m alive, and not a complete waste of space. I’m glad I’m teaching, and I have students who despite all this still want to learn. I’m glad I can afford to buy out of pocket the supplies my students need, even if I shouldn't have to be the one footing the bill for the kids.

                This is probably why I hate doing this. These words feel hollow, and I’m not really sure if I feel thankful at all. Perhaps being thankful requires that I feel like I am worth the things I have.
