willie mae is ruining what is supposed to be a happy story i still love her though
“Willie Mae! Glad you could make it. I was really worried-”
Terrance nodded and pushed a plate towards Willie Mae. She eyed it taking in the piece of cake being offered to her. She hated that Terrance knew that she liked cake and that if she was eating she was less likely to storm away. It could still happen but it was a lot more unlikely. Besides the cafe made really good cake and Willie Mae had made it her mission to taste each and every cake that they made so that she could find her favourite and buy as much of it as she could.
Picking up the fork she peered up at Terrance hoping that she was getting her unhappiness across. He smiled and she wondered he had no sense of self-preservation and it was rather annoying. She could fucking stab him with her fork and he’d probably not even see if coming cause he was too busy smiling like a fucking dumb ass.
Instead of being tempted to commit murder again Willie Mae cut off a piece of her cake and slid it into her mouth. The taste of coffee cake met her tongue and exploded like fireworks. She moaned softly hardly even caring if Terrance heard her. The cake was beautiful. It was like she had died and gone to heaven. It was probably gonna be the closes she was gonna get to heaven.
“I’m glad you like it. I order one to be freshly made for you.” Looking through her eyelashes at Terrance Willie Mae wondered what the catch was. “It should be done by the time we finished talking.”
She snorted and grabbed another bit. Of course, she ended up with the parole officer that was a tricky bitch. She couldn’t just get a good one that cared if she followed the rules and bullshit. That would be too easy.
“Have you found a job yet?”
“Well, I’ve contacted some people who would be more than interested in having your expertise.”
She scoffed. What even was her expertise? Getting caught with blood on her hands?
“Have you been to any groups?”
“Why ask when you already know the answer?”
Terrance shrugged, “Part of the job.”
Willie Mae sat back at the question and raised an eyebrow at Terrance. He nodded like that was an answer. She ate another piece of cake. It felt like she was taking small bites trying to savour every single bite of it. It was either that or stab Terrance.
She wondered if she could scoop out his eyeball with a fork. A spoon would be easier but with a fork, it would just be a stab and pull, right?
She looked at Terrance and said nothing as she ate another bit. It was like she was pleading the fifth. She knew it was what Terrance preferred so that he wouldn’t have to full on lie. She hated it, but she hated talking to Terrance just as much so she some days she said nothing. Other days she talked like no tomorrow.
With a headache resting at the base of her head today was a day where she would probably say nothing. Not like she had anything to say anyway.
Terrance nodded and waved someone over as Willie Mae leaned back in her chair. It was gonna be a long fucking meeting.
