#TurtleUpdate We posted on Monday about a seaturtle that was rescued from the hands of illegal hunters ready to be sold for meat. Thanks to @doyinsola_o @dzennypha_ @otto_orondaam and other well meaning Nigerians who contributed to its rescue. She made it to @kidsbeachgarden "thank God" 😃 where she was kept in a tank waiting to be released but fortunately and unfortunately, nobody knew she was about to nest. She eventually laid her eggs and she did it in water where none of those eggs can survive! 😭 We think sea turtles must be released immediately they are rescued to prevent future calamities. We posted a while ago that only 1 out of 100 eggs survive even in the right conditions. We have lost 21 sea turtles again in Nigeria, Africa.
