Angel Who Fell From The Pages | Closed Starter for Sapphire
Each foot landed square in front of the other, causing a noticeable sway in her hips. Dragging the pad of her fingertips across the old bindings, River took a deep breath relishing the smell of old books. She had made her way to the religious resources section for a bit of privacy and going by the layer of dust laying on the shelves here, it was a good choice. Kneading into her temples with her freehand, she swore internally never to drink again. A flat out lie...but hangover's made the worst bargainer of her. Why was she here wandering the stacks instead of laying in bed at the hotel with a giant glass of water? Well, the hangover hadn't been so bad that it would keep River Song bed ridden.
The only reason she would stand to stay in bed all day would be when there was someone to lay there with her...and even then the day would hardly be wasted on sleep. She felt cooped up in that room, her student's work almost all graded and no clues on how she was going to get home to even give them back. The last few essays had been purposefully left untouched as it would force her to face the fact that she may have graded them for no reason...she may be stuck here.
