Luffy snickered in amusement, his eyes bright as he locked eyes with the first mate of the Whitebeard pirates; a grin on his lips as his back hit the wood. There wasn't any need for him to go on the defensive, so what he did was put his hands up in surrender as he continued watching the blonde in front of him.

"So what now Birdie?" Luffy snickered as he watched Marco

"The guy deserved it!"

A certain redhaired apprentice was pouting heavily up at the first mate. The boy had a black eye, but he was still proud of the fact that his opponent, a guy thrice his size was knocked out. After he had smashed a bottle over his head.

"Yes, yes. I'm well aware that you're a big bad man from the government and the only reason you're acting civil is because my mom is who she is and you were sent for diplomatic bullshit, but for god's sake, would it kill you to smile at least once?" Her mother had put her in charge of showing their guests around they were visiting Totto Island. In other words, show them enough to make them leave but not enough to give away secrets. Though she was starting to believe that the stoic man at her side that she'd been trying to crack for four days straight now was more than just some government official. Still, he had to at least know how to smile.

"No." It was an utter lie. One that she tried to hide by turning away from him, hands rising to cover her face as she furiously tried to wipe the tears away. Momonosuke was alive. It was like a dream and hope coming true all in one moment for her. The distant words from her mother had long ago become nothing more than a dream of a better life. One where she didn't have to hide in the shadows, doing what she could to help her people while suffering the attention of the very man who had brought about her father's death.

Swallowing as she tried to get her emotions under control she asked softly. "My older brother....is he well?"

talk to him? why would iceburg even want to associate with someone like him? his betrayal along with the other members of his former organization, he was surprised that the man in front of him didn't send him to the gallows the moment he took a single step back onto this island.

he had been cuffed with seastone prism chains and locked up in the jail of water 7, sure, but he didn't think iceburg of all people would make his way to the cell just to talk to him.

"this city.." he started, moving his body so that he could get a bit more comfortable. "it's the only place where i felt like i could actually call home. i didn't know where else to go."

"You wouldn't?" Blinking in surprise she turned to look at him from where she was holding the traitor in the air by their throat. An impressive feat considering her smaller stature and the fact that he was currently dangling over the side of one of the towers ledges. There were many things she could forgive, but stealing from her personal garden for her teas? That was not one of them. "How would you put it then?"

She'd danced with this troop before. Their wild music filled with drums and traditional music called to her blood as he spun and jumped. Her body moved with the fluid wild grace of her people as she moved to the beat, hips rolling as her arms rose over her head, flourishing before slamming down to the ground. Voice rising over the instruments as she sang along with them. The crowd grew with each passing moment in the streets, entranced by the wild and yet alluring dancer.

Spinning around her gaze, like warm amber lite from within collided with theirs. Locking for a moment before her smile widened into something more savage. A dare and promise that she could never be tamed but would be the kind of wild pleasure one would never forget. Holding his as she moved through several more steps before coming to a sudden stop along with the music.

Ignoring the others that came forward to try and catch her attention she instead arched a brow their way. "Well look who we have here."
