Activists held a rally at Berlin's Potsdamer Platz to support NGOs like Sea-Watch and Mission Lifeline which rescued thousands of refugees from drowning during their passage over the Mediterrean Sea. Now the NGOs are facing trials and repression by Italy, Malta and the European Union. The participants condemned the criminalization of distress rescue and demanded to implement save passages for refugees. The rally was part of the so called "Day Orange" inspired by the colour of the life vests used by the refugees.
