Today weโd like to introduce you to Jennifer Leigh Warner.
Jennifer Leigh, weโd love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
When I was 8 years old I watched a documentary about a wildlife photographer from National Geographic and I knew then and there that photographing animals in the wild was what I was meant to do with my life.
I studied communications and photography at Washington State University and once I graduated I set off on my mission to photograph the animals of the world. I realized as I began documenting the lives on these animals that I wanted to do more than just take pretty pictures, I wanted to tell their stories. I wanted to use these images as a vehicle to get people to care about these animals and to incite change in order to preserve the habits that these animals live in. I hope that when you see my photographs it inspires you to do everything that you can to save these animals before they are all gone.
Weโd love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I make fine art wildlife photographs and specializing in creating meaningful images that conveys a message of hope for the natural world. All my images are limited editions and photographed in the animalโs natural environments. My subjects are never baited or lured and my images are as I saw them and never manipulated. My message is for people to find the beauty in the world around us and to inspire those who view my images to save the habitats of the animals of the world.
What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
Success is nearly impossible to describe. It can be seen in the joy in my customers eyes when they purchase their first image, or when I see my work being featured on predominate media outlets such as Outdoor Photographer Magazine or National Geographicโs website. My ultimate goal as a wildlife artist is to inspire people to save wildlife. So, I feel the most successful when someone tells me they made a positive change to the way they view wildlife because of the work that I do.

In addition to my fine art I also work as a conservation photographer and fund a project called โHow Humans Impact Wildlife Behaviorโ which aims to educate people on the dangers of encroaching on wildlifeโs space.
