Biancaâs expression turned into a grimace with the terrifying sound Reyna breathed out, she wasnât that much good of a doctor or a medic for that matter, but even she could see coughing up blood wasnât really an indication of a succesful battle.
She nodded with determination with Reynaâs words, they had to get out of there. Bianca wished she didnât waste that much of a power, at least she could take them to a hospital or somewhere safe in general, but now they couldnât move an inch because they were stuck in a room, covered in monster dust with more Empousai right outside the door trying to claw their way in. Bianca had no idea how they managed to find themselves in this situation, this definitely wasnât what she had in mind when she paid a visit to New Rome in a nice sunday morning, and now they were somewhere in Nairobi, trapped in a building full of monsters.
â This room doesnât have any exits,â Bianca breathed out, studying the room quickly. Shadows she summoned were sealing the door shut, but each hit was making it harder for her to keep it shut. So she tried to be as quick as she could, trying to find a way out for them. â I donât have any power left to shadowtravel, and there are at leastâŚâ She fell quiet for a moment, eyes locked on the wall as she listened. â Five empousai outside the door.â She turned to Reyna. â Do you have any plan in mind or should I wing the fuck out of this?â
reyna wipes her hand on her pants, smearing the blood there. the grip on her sword is much better after doing so; she couldnât risk it slipping out of her hands at the wrong moment. her mind is still reeling from the situation, not quite sure how they had gotten into this mess. the door wouldnât hold forever, but it had bought them some time. reyna takes advantage of the little time they have to take stock of her injuries. she had suffered a brutal hit to the chest, one of the empousai slamming into her with all itâs body weight, while reyna was holding them off for bianca. the daughter of hades needed a moment to muster the shadows into keeping the door shut. without her usual roman armor, the injury reyna suffered was much worse.
â yes, and who knows what else is lurking in this building. â she tries to straighten up, open her chest up to ease the difficulty in breathing. reynaâs dark eyes scan the ceilings, the walls, each corner of the room. bianca was right. there was nothing. just a single door and the dark shadows between the two of them. reyna sheaths her sword, leans against the nearest wall. â oh, thereâs a plan. all i need is a minute. i used to do this with nico, during the war. just get ready to shadowtravel, youâll know when to do it. â
