Hi ♥♥ The story has been ready but I’ve been to busy to edit it on ao3 :( It’s been the worst week at work and I am barely alive. I don’t think I will be able to upload it today, but definitely tomorrow. Thank you for asking!Â

I'm curious about this song craft idea! Is it like creating spells and rituals and whatnot in the form of a song? 'Cause I've thought about doing that myself, since music has always been such a powerful influence in my life. It seems like something that would have a lot of potential for upping the emotional power of a spell, since music is such a powerful thing in and of itself.
Yes, crafting rituals and spells into song is an aspect of what I wanted to talk about. However, I also wanted to talk about song in relation to spirit work, about different aspects that I think are key to the practice, and different forms of song associated with occult work (including my own).
I’m horrible with words on a fly, but a brief look at it is through the integrity of motion, integrity of emotion, and integrity of being.
We all know that physical actions are one of the key things our subconscious responds to and that repetitious movements can ingrain habits into the mind far easier than imagining such movements or thinking something over and over. Singing is a physical act, which is why it has more umph for me. When I say integrity of motion, I mean singing and moving on a level that resonates with you, not just imagining it.
For those of us that sing, we tend to notice that it brings about some powerful emotions (not the case for all, but something I’m observing in myself and others). We can sing a song and not really be into it, but then we can also really sing a song and the difference between the two is how you feel when you are singing. Know the message of the song you are singing or at least, what it means to you (the latter can apply to songs with no words), and make it resonate with you emotionally.
Integrity of being is really just a culmination of making every aspect of what you are doing resonate with you and what you’re trying to accomplish. Spirits are attracted to that and once I get the post going, I can delve more into spirit work with song.
