Celebrating your honeymoon, you guys both decided to go on dates together as frequently as you can. Every week.
Today is the day mizu asked you out on one of these dates.
So you celebrate, spend time, and maybe even plan your wedding.
She only asked you to bring one thing. You.
Mizu looks as beautiful as ever. Her hair is down, flowing down her back and into the water.

Mizu never fails to tell you that no matter how many times you guys dive together. That she will never get tired of it.
That she will never get tired of you.
She knows how much you love the ocean, and she will always thank the Gods that your passion has caused you guys to meet in the first place.
She wouldn't know what to do without you.

You and your lover swim and mess around for about two hours before you get tired and decide to take a break.
Swimming up to the surface, the sun is gone as moonlight takes over. Illuminating your face.
Mizu moves behind you and puts her face in your neck
"I love you" you suddenly hear
"I love you more my love."
You two stay like that for a while. Admiring the comfortable silence of each other's company.
As your thoughts start to drift off to the date earlier, you can't help but get excited for the day you and Mizu actually have your wedding.

Lately... mizu has been acting weird
You and mizu have been dating more than over a year now, but ever since your anniversary, Mizu started acting strange.
Whenever you plan to come see mizu, she always brushes you off. Says "i love you and everything is okay" but that she's just "busy" or she has important stuff to do.
But what "important things" could Mizu be doing?
Mizu took a very long time to open up to you or even trust you since you're not only a human, but the only family she had betrayed her.

But why does it feel like she's hiding something?

It's currently 7:26 pm. The sky painting your skin with a light golden hue as you await your partner's arrival.
You're nervous. Like really nervous. You've only ever been out of your scuba gear once during your entire relationship with mizu.
and that's only on special days, like your anniversary for example.
Suddenly you feel a light touch on your arm causing you to jolt.
"I apologize, i didn't mean to scare you" she hugged you from behind, holding your waist
"Mizu! I missed you more is everything okay?"
"I'm sorry for being so distant i just needed to take care of something but i promise i'm fine"
As you turn around you sense something is wrong It's..okay"
The more you look at mizu the more you realize how nervous she looks? No matter how long you've known mizu, you never seen her get so nervous
"Look.. y/n can i ask you something?"
"... are you breaking up me with me"
Mizu immediately looked up "what no i would never just please listen"
"um okay..."
Mizu is practically sweating bullets. Avoiding eye contact, biting her lip as she slowly sits you down and sinks into the water grabbing your hand
She pulls out a beautiful pearl ring engraved with you and mizu's initials on it.
"I know i'm not the greatest with words but ever since i met you, you have been the reason why i look forward to waking up everyday. I love you so much and i want to spend the rest of my life with you so y/n will you marry me?.."
As tears welled up you silently nodded your head yes and let mizu put the ring on you.
You immediately went in and kissed mizu as you both cried together.
"Is that why you've been avoiding me?"
"Yes. I wanted to make sure i made our rings perfect and made sure you wouldn't find out. I swear i will never be distant again".
As you and Mizu continued your date, you will never forget today and how this point forward you and mizu will spend the rest of your lives together.
