#thundercats 2011 #scriptum meum #yes all of these characters have definite flaws in their writing #and yes all of them are worthy of some criticism on multiple fronts #and no you don't have to like any of them #but if you're engaging with the show or the fandom for the sole purpose of hating on them? get a life lmao #it used to be really en vogue in the fandom to pick a favourite between lion-o and tygra #which for some reason automatically meant you had to hate the other #which i think is really hypocritical since so many people disliked their rivalry yet they love one and hate the other #as if the people around them hadn't picked between them all their lives and thus conciously or unconciously contributed to their rivalry #and in lion-o's case you not only had to hate tygra but cheetara and often pumyra as well #and it still lingers in the remnants of the fandom today #also it's really telling how so many people mindlessly blame the characters for the faults of the writers #especially in the girls' case #people really don't know sexism when they see it huh #not to say all of the characters' words and deeds can be blamed on the writers being shitty because a lot of it was in character for them #but that's where nuance and complexity and constructive criticism come in #the things that seem to confuse the fandom so much #this doesn't apply to the whole fandom ofc but there's still a section that's like this #anyway i'm gonna stop rambling now but i'll just say this:#again nobody has any obligation to like these characters #but the whole show becomes much more enjoyable if you stop taking sides and just enjoy each character for what they are #i myself am incredibly sexy and love them all more or less equally 💁🏻‍♀️
