Watching bbc sherlock. This show is not good at all. The only thing more insufferable than sherlock himself is the writers' palpable smugness at being So Smart and Cool (🙄)

Why the fuck did the relight movies cut out the Mello kidnapping arc and all of lights knowledge about him but still have his death play out the exact same way
Ok so I started watching The Last Voyage of the Demeter (about halfway through rn) and all I'm saying is if you had to choose a Dracula-inspired horror movie revolving around characters besides the crew of light that came out in 2023. Pick this one
Man y'all weren't lying this movie rocks!!
Boutta start watching the 1931 Dracula movie :D

Oki so I finally watched the Renfield trailer and it doesn't look as bad as I was expecting. Still wouldn't call it good but the Ren actor has a nice voice so that's something. His costume looks like a bad cosplay of Dwight Frye but I appreciate the effort and he seems like he's trying so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Still not psyched about the whole comedy thing (and from what I saw the humor is,, not,,, good) but there weren't any "haha you eat bugs?? Lmao" jokes so I'm holding out hope for now
Oh btw on Halloween my family watched the Bram Stoker's Dracula guy's directorial debut movie, Dimentia 13 (I'm p sure it was spelled like that) and yea it was awful so his reputation for making bad horror movies is still solid. Like the plot started out like it was gonna be good with this lady who kills her husband and goes to his sister's yearly memorial to get on the mom's good side to get into the will and decides to pretend to be the sister's ghost and haunt the house Scooby-Doo style, but the rest of the family tell her that the house is actually haunted by the sister's ghost. But then the lady gets murdered by a random Guy With An Axe ??????? And is literally never mentioned again (her plot took up the first third of the movie so OK.) And the movie turns into a generic Guy In The House horror movie and my lord it's so bad. And then they make the explicitly mentally ill guy into the axe murderer with no prompting.
I started watching Count Dracula 1977!! I've seen about half of it so far and it is very good, I think it does a good job being book accurate without feeling soulless
My thoughts thus far (with screenshots):
First I just think this image of the cast list is hilarious. All the actors are pretty good though, particularly Jack Shepherd and Louis Jordan, I appreciate them
They use this filter multiple times. I do not like it but it's funny
Jonathan looking at the brides is simply a mood. He just looks disappointed honestly
They replaced the wolf pack with one (1) dog. The dog is very cute I like him
Not to be dramatic but I would die for Renfield.
Dracula T-pose
Quincey is in this movie!! And he has a terrible southern accent!! Majestic

The filters in the movie are truly something special. Also I love how they have like a stock magic wand sound effect playing every time Drac is on screen.
