Bent, But Not Broken People look forward to a "bed-full-of-roses" kind of life. But let me remind you that even roses have thorns. Life will never be easy, light, and full of victories, because if it were, for sure people would start complaining about how boring life is. Every day is a decision-making day. We always decide how we should respond, how we should start the day, whether we should wake up or sleep a little more, what to wear, how to say things, whether it will be A or B, etc. We always make decisions every minute of every day. And there may be days where we feel like we are being tormented by all these decision-making moments. It's adding to the situation we are currently facing—circumstances where it felt like God left us in the wilderness—alone, wandering, wondering, lost, and scared. And all that was left were all the miseries the enemy was busy throwing at us. And no matter how much we cry and beg, it's as if God has become deaf to our cry for help. Even our family, friends, and church leaders and members are nowhere near us to help us out. Will this be enough for us to give up? To hide away? To forget faith? To entertain the darkest idea of putting an end to our dear life?
