If you live in Melbourne, Australia you should definitely plan to go to The Scribble Project Exhibition, which has it’s big opening night on June 5th. The show has been organised by the wonderful Lisa Currie, whose new book Me, You, Us is out on June 3rd!
Over 140 artists were given the same “scribble sheet” as a starting point for this exhibition, and from what I’ve seen there has been some amazing work produced. I’ve done a sheet which isn’t all that amazing, but as soon as I’m allowed to I’ll post it here.
If you can’t make it to the exhibition, Lisa will be uploading a ton of photos to her website. She’s also posting previews to Instagram: @scribblediary
If you’re lucky enough to go make sure you tag your photos with #scribbleproject, so all of us who live on the other side of the world can check them out.

Real excited to have been interviewed on The Scribble Project! Check it out and look at it! do u luv me please say yes
also do u luv my new avi that i made for valentines day please say yes
This is what i'm submitting to The Scribble Project! I was recently emailed by Lisa Currie, the creator of The Scribble Diary, to submit some art using one of her many scribble pages from her book (if you look closely you can notice it in between the drawings). I made it to look similar to the style i use in my sketchbook by using stickers, old anatomy pictures, pink of course, daggers, food, and stickers i made of girls in skirts. I also added elements from my paintings like the pencils at the bottom right corner and scattered pink background color that i usually use similar to this painting.
finally finished! here's my painting for The Scribble Project, created+organized by Lisa Currie. check out her blog for a look at a whole bunch of others' Scribble Project interpretations!
basically, i was given a template to doodle over– the template i painted over is the second image– & it was suuuuper fun. i'm so excited to be a part of the upcoming exhibition, which will be on display all throughout June 2014 at the City Library in Melbourne, Australia! if you're in the area then, go feast your eyes on what I'm betting will be an awesome buffet of artwork from doodlers+illustrators+artists, etc. all around the world!
lil' spoiler: the lie is that i like donuts & the truth is that i like kiwis. the fruit.
