A collection of things I've Googled while working on this script
-the history of Playboy magazine -Catholic wedding in Latin -Bonnie and Clyde -cars in the 1950s -Italian last names -1951 movies -Cosa Nostra -the Goodfellas long take -Did falafel stands exist in 1951?
No bullshit, but if the current cut of Excise gets enough love, I think I might put Have You Seen Me in hold to focus on that; and if you know me, you know how long I worked on HYSM and why it's so important to me. I'm going to be 25 next year, and my current goal in life in life is to get Excise made. I told my friends the dream would be to have it start out how Saw did, being a short film and blossoming into the infamous beast it is now. I'm hoping someone in particular I sent the current draft to gets back to me before he heads off to Wasteland in about two weeks, just so I know what I need to clean up and what could be done. There's a lot of shit that needs to be hammered out; effects, safety precautions, securing music rights, and finding a crew that is open to something that's pitch black serious and unforgivingly brutal to name a few. I'll stop talking for now, but now I'm just twiddling my thumbs to see what's going to happen. If I ever think about doing a crowdfunding campaign, I'll let you guys know. It probably won't happen, but I'll ask a few people about whether or not it's a good idea or not. I know a local filmmaker did a revenge movie last year or so, but I don't remember his name. If I do find him on Facebook, I might ask him for advice.
Decisions Decisions Decisions
So my pilot didn’t make it to the final round at the Nashville Film Fest. I’m a little sad but I’ve never placed in a screenwriting competition so it’s still amazing to me. I’ve been struggling with trying to figure out if this script was ready or not. I really do feel that it is, which is the best thing I could ask for out of all of this.
I get a badge to the festival with being a semi finalist. My boss is fine with me going. I’m just not sure if I should. Any advice?
I'm not nervous about all my classes tomorrow--two of my professors I've had before so I kinda know what to expect from them--but I'm nervous about screenwriting class.
I'll probably enjoy it because I love love love my professor and I am interested in how screenwriting works, but I'm looking at the syllabus now and it's all kinda overwhelming. There is just a lot of stuff going on--and I don't have an idea of what I want to write about yet.
Also it's at night. The class ends at 9:00pm and I have to take the bus home. That makes me nervous too
Hopefully it all goes well; wish me luck

Can't I just write Fanfiction for a living?
Plotting this spec episode may be the death of me. I'm currently just mashing all my ideas together until I come up with some kind of cohesive story.
Can't sleep..... Also can't get Potential Break up song out of my head, but that's unrelated.
After nearly 8 months of being told over and over again that my pages weren't working. Once, with the words "i'm disappointed in you" came out of my professors mouth. And through all of that i was told I couldn't start over,as others had requested, with another idea. The last time I brought in pages was particularly rough.
But tonight he told me that he loved it an that it would make a great movie and that he was proud of all the work i've done.
I'm not just over the moon, i'm beyond it, flying off into space.
