1. Chekhov's gun. If there is a gun hanging above the door in scene 1 it will go off in scene 2. When your making a thing you don't normally just add something that's not going to further the story. It either is put in to enhance the environment of the story or it is put there to further the plot. So I’m just saying its suspicious to put in that image of these kids and what is probably their parents into the story if it doesn't serve a purpose. Especially since they didn't have to add the phone to have the charm being taken.

2. At the end of the story I thought Shoko was going to go back up the stairs at the end of the night to go hang out with her new Ghost type besties, I wasn't expecting her to go hang out with her classmates instead. But with adding the dead sibling subplot it makes more sense if her sibling came back to help Shoko overcome her meekness and make friends of her own.
