Katherine’s jaw dropped, annoyed. “What the hell was that for?” She rubbed her ears protectively. “That screaming gave me a loud ringing.”

"Can you help me study? I’m worried about the History test tomorrow. I feel like I’m not taking anything in.” Mason sighed running a hand back through short hair as she looked up at the redhead.

“Lydia, sweetheart, have you seen the bottle opener?” This was beyond an emergency, and Natalie was in no mood to go diving through drawers and cabinets in search of a secondary. She was certain there was something on pinterest telling her how to open the bottle with a pencil sharpener or a spoon, but she was a grown woman - she opened her wine the old fashioned way. “Honey, are you down here? It isn’t in the - what are you doing?”

“Is that a body?!” The gameboy slipped from Nathan’s hands and clattered to the pavement, his eyes widening in terror. “That’s... that’s a Halloween prop, right? And fake blood? And...” He was running out of excuses. “That’s not real. That’s not a real body, right?”

“Right, what did you need from me?”
