“Tommy and I snuck into a vampire movie once. I didn’t like it much.”

Wyatt momentarily relaxed once he’d gained a full laugh from the younger man. He wasn’t great at cheering up or comforting others, but Peter’s laugh allowed Wyatt a little bit of conviction.  “I don’t even eat that cheese, man. I swear you’re the only one who can stomach it.”

“Hey. Hey Peter. Help me carry these gardening supplies to the shitty abandoned park.”

“-- Mr. Sunderland? Seriously?” She takes another sip. “Pepsi in the fridge, if you want some.”

“Peter, this is Rachel. She wants to kick Sullivan’s ghost in the dick, if possible. Rachel, Peter.”

“-- I mean probably several things, but nah, just wanted to let you know. You are among the evidence I present to myself when the mind weasels are telling me I am alone and friendless.”

“I didn’t go to my prom. Or any dances, really. I didn’t think I’d like them. Are they fun..?”
