Okay I love When Day Breaks because funny flesh monsters but I’m starting to wonder if anyone of you guys have actually read the tales.  I am not sure if this is actually canon, because it was in the “Theories” section of the website, but there is a tale titled “Heart and Sol” y’all should read. Basically, it’s from Sol’s perspective, (Sol is our sun) and is talking about another of her kind, The Hateful.  Well, you’ll think to yourself, “oh, a new character, let’s see where this leads” It will talk about her sibling targeting Earth to kill it’s inhabitants, and how he despises Sol. A quote from the tale reads: “Sol knew what had to be done. Brimming with unbridled love, she began to change. Her radiating warmth would act as a bulwark against the destruction threatened by her sibling. Her rays, an outpouring of her adoration of life, would grant those basking in its glory an immunity as unbreakable as the bond she shared with them. As the Hateful one ravaged and tore his way through the neighboring galaxies, Sol became bemused by his impotent rampage, reveling in the thought of his arrival. Because once he descends upon Earth, he will discover its population can not only endure his onslaught, but prosper in spite of it. After all, love conquers hate.“ Who is The Hateful?  Take a look at this . Cool, huh? “Solar phenomena”, the SCP’s well known name is also “The Star, The Hateful.” The Sun protected our solar system once from The Hateful, understood that he’d come back, and had no choice other than making Day Break.  “ . Her rays, an outpouring of her adoration of life, would grant those basking in its glory an immunity as unbreakable as the bond she shared with them. “  Remember how SCP-001-A would lure people outside by saying how beautiful it was out there? That was Sol trying to protect humanity from The Hateful, making Mankind’s love for her more powerful than the rage of The Hateful. If this is canon, maybe When Day Breaks isn’t as bad as you think.
