As Grant laid on the battlefield waiting for death to come he had only one regret, he would never be able to get revenge for his late wife Murket. He cursed the gods above. Grant had been about to plunge his sword into Roberts chest but Roberts general had stabbed him in the back before he was able to land the final blow.
"So close, but it seems you'll never get the chance to avenge that sweet little wife of yours." Robert had laughed as Grant had fallen forward, hitting the ground. Grant cursed the gods again. How could he have gotten so close to having his revenge only to have it slip through his fingers?
"Oh look, ones still alive." a voice spoke above him. Grant looked up to a see man in royal clothing eyeing him.
"Tell me human do you wish to die here?" Asked the man. Grant said nothing.
"Should I take your silence as a yes?" The man squatted down in front of Grant looking him in the eyes.
"No unfinished business to attended to? Your completely happy with how your life turned out?" Grant glared at the man.
"I am dying it does not matter." The man laughed throwing his head back.
"Oh but you do not have to die. You can live if you agree to come with me"
"All in good time, but you must answer quickly for you are about to bleed out." How could this man heal him? He could feel himself on the brink of death and there was nothing about this man the gave any indication that he could heal him, just his word. Revenge. If Grant agreed he could get another chance at Robert. For that Robert would sell his soul just to have his sword end Roberts life.
"So what is it going to be die here or come with me?"
"Give me the revenge I seek and I will come with you."
"That a boy! Now this is going to hurt." Suddenly the man reached forward pulling the sword the had still be in Rae's back out. As Grant Yelled out in pain, the man throw the sword behind him and pulled Rae onto his feet.
"Welcome to your new world." Lighting suddenly stuck all around them and Grant didn't feel anymore pain.
