scott couldnât an eye on her house at every second, as much as he tried. which was why as he sat in his car across the street from her place, he didnât immediately notice the black car that rolled up. his eyes narrowed as he focused on it, gauging whether it was just some guy lost for directions. either way, he found himself reaching for his gun and cocking it. hand on the door handle and prepared to jump out if need be. his attention lifted to her door, eyes going wide as she stepped out and it dawned on him then this was definitely a hit. without thinking twice, he jumped out of his car but they were already shooting bullets in her direction. a single aim of his gun as he charged closer was enough to put a bullet through the guyâs skull and he turned to shoot through the back window of the car that sped off, striking him in the head as the car steered and crashed into another car down the block. "abby!â he shouted, heading toward her to quickly usher her back to his car. âare you hurt? were you hit? we have to move.â his eyes scanned her for blood and he quickly swooped her off her feet to carry her back to his car, knowing the shock it all would slow her down.
