absolutely amazing that we see the public opinion on Starmer has soured so specifically, and then the second Anas Sarwar (head of Scottish Labour and arguably a fairly high-up politician in his own right*) says the obvious thing, that Starmer should resign-- immediate closing of the ranks by the English Labour members. Even Rayner, who was openly against him only a few days ago is suddenly applauding him as if he's a hero, as opposed to a spineless coward with dodgy friends.
And this is how it is with the UK. You can be literally one of them and support them for so many years of your life. The second the Scots get too big for their boots, the rest of them are besties once again and the words of an important member of your party are dismissed as 'tittle-tattle' (and isn't there such an irony to how English that dismissal is?)
*important note: I do not like Sarwar as a politician but my own preferences do not mean he isn't a long standing, high up member of the party that is supposed to be listened to by the head office.
