One week. One long week. Scorpius had received the news by letter that they had lost the baby and he wasn't ready to admit it to himself. He knew Victoire wasn't taking it well.. How could he expect her too? She was the one carrying their baby and now.. Now neither of them had anything. 

Every day of that week seemed longer than the last. While Victoire was depressed, which was clear due to her face, Scorpius was still trying to keep his prince-like composure. Head up, shoulders back as he strolled through the campus like the royal he was. Not a hint of sadness along his strong jaw line could have been seen. Around his parents he kept his composure, acting like nothing was ever wrong. No secret baby or secret relationship rather with anyone. Scorpius was just... Himself.. He was fine, right? He was too young to have a child, how would he raise it? .. But he would have had an heir...

Later one Saturday night, Scorpius decided to pay his secret girl a visit..  He walked to her room, using his Head Boy badge to gain access. Quietly he tip toed up to her room, and raised his knuckles knocking on it gently. "Hey Victoire..?" He waited for a moment for a noise to be heard. "Victoire, it's me.." Scorpius took a few steps back, noting her as he saw her face appear from behind the door. She looked so.. So broken.. And it was because of this, that Scorpius deemed it to be his fault... 

"Hi.." She muttered, turning back to walk to her bed once again. Scorpius stepped inside her room, swiftly shutting the door behind him making sure it didn't make too much noise. He watched the girl sadly sit back down on her bed, hugging a pillow to her stomach where a baby once laid. 

Scorpius slowly walked over to her and sat down beside her, hugging his knees to his chest. "Victoire.. You have to come out of here at some point.. " He placed his hand on her arm gently sighing.. "Maybe, to just eat something..?" 

"I'm not hungry.." She muttered shortly, looking down at the floor.  

"Victoire, you haven't eaten for days. You have to eat something.... For me?" 

"I said, I'm not hungry." Scorpius pulled his hand back from her with a heavy sigh as the girl closed up even more. He got off of her bed, running a hand through his hair as he sighed, he started to feel anger in him. She wouldn't even talk to him..  She wouldn't talk or look at... It made him feel even worse for what happened... Maybe it was his fault after all?

"Look Victoire, do you think this isn't hurting me too!?" He finally snapped, turning around to look at her. The girl looked up at him, obvious sadness in her eyes. "Do you think I'm not depressed that I lost our son?! I am. I am fucking depressed that we lost him!"

"How do you think I feel, Scorpius?!" She tossed her pillow at her secret boyfriend, the tears lining her eyes. Scorpius back turned to her as his jaw tensed "After you left... And then you came back only to have this happen a short time later?! What does that say about me?! After you left I was... I was so broken and then we were so close.. SO CLOSE TO HAVING A SON ONLY TO LOSE HIM!" 

Scorpius swallowed listening to her.. "Victoire I--"

"I'm sorry I lost our child..." She muttered, grabbing a different pillow, bringing it to her face as she cried. Scorpius looked over his shoulder at his broken love... Feeling the guilt sink it. He took a few steps into the weeping girl, placing the pillow on her bed. Gently, he placed his hands on her shoulders and brought her up, pulling her into his chest. Arms firmly wrapped around her as the blonde held his girl as tight as he could. 

"We may have lost our baby..." He closed his eyes as he tried not to cry. "But we won't ever lose each other.. I promise.." He swallowed as he squeezed her tightly into him. Victoire's arms went around Scorpius' waist, holding onto him as tight as she could as if he was her life source. 

"I...I love you Scorpius..." She sobbed into his chest. Scorpius turned his head slightly, putting it on hers.
