Distant phacelia (Phacelia distans), aka scorpionweed, is native to the American Southwest. It’s found in chaparral, forests, grasslands, and meadows.

It’s endemic to California, which is home to over 90 species

Or some dark purple if your bumblebees are in a goth mood:

And thanks to googling dark violet pollen, I now know that these flowers are some sort of Phacelia aka scorpionweed.
