From my fanfic ‘Lily Potter and the Villain in the Valley’, chapter 52:

'Wait-what?' She said looking at Lily with a frown and throwing up her hands in frustration.

Lily's eyes darted around in confusion.

'Er what about what?' She asked gingerly, wondering how she had already managed to upset her roommate in such a short span of time.

'You said you were here to make friends!' Poppy exclaimed, looking scandalized, 'You think any of those boys are going to want to be friends when you look like someone lit a veela on fire?!'

'Are you…trying to say I look good?' Lily looked at Poppy skeptically through narrowed eyes, touching her red hair self-consciously.

'Have you not seen yourself?' Poppy marched over and grabbed her by the shoulders, steering her forcefully towards the vanity mirror.

'I do look really nice' Lily gasped in spite of herself, causing Poppy to snort.

She took herself in. She had to admit that the black of the dress did make her skin look brighter than normal and the lace collar and sleeves felt much more mature than her mothers old pink dress robes had. The green of her almond shaped eyes, which were the only part of herself that she had really ever liked, stood out like two emerald diamonds in a sea of black.

'Yes well, except your hair- that looks like a Hippogriff's nest' Poppy tutted.

- Scorpius spent much of his childhood and first few years of Hogwarts desperately trying to find a cure for his mother’s blood curse. 

- Scorpius adored his mother and was distraught when the curse took her from him forever. She was the only one in Malfoy Manor who brought any cheer to the place and she taught him a lot about making the best of a terrible situation by how positive she was during her illness. 

- Scorpius grew up very quickly after his mother left him forever. He needed to look after his distraught father and to help to keep the peace between his father and grandfather. Lucius was less than sympathetic, never having approved of Draco’s choice of wife in the first place. 

- Scorpius is a HUFFLEPUFF <3 (Malfoys are cunning but they are also very loyal towards their own family. The sorting hats next choice after Slytherin for any Malfoy would have been Hufflepuff). 

- Scorpius Malfoy is deathly afraid of heights. His father and grandfather always wanted him to be on the school quidditch team like they had been but Scorpius would rather use a broom to sweep the floor than to soar through the skies. 

- After learning about all manner of curses and magical ailments through the search for a cure for his mother Scorpius became very knowledgable about healing magic. He worked hard during his time at Hogwarts so that he could earn a place as a healing apprentice at St Mungo’s after he graduated. 

- Scorpius has been yelled at and spat at by strangers for the role his father and grandfather played in the rise of the Dark Lord. He’s used to being despised for no other reason than his name, but he is still intensely loyal towards his father.

- Though Scorpius sometimes resents how much Draco still fears Lucius and obeys his unreasonable demands, he is forever grateful towards Draco for agreeing to fulfill his mothers wishes to have a child despite the fact that Draco knew from the start that one day he would have to raise Scorpius alone as a single father.

- Scorpius takes after Lucius more in appearance than Draco. But whilst Lucius used his good looks as a young man at Hogwarts to charm girls into doing his bidding, Scorpius is much more shy about all the attention he receives from the opposite sex.
