Thoughts on Becky x Scoops? It's not a very popular woodview characters ship, but I like it more than ToBecky and Sciolet.
Honestly...I like it!
My opinions on them have changed so much over the years, but I think it's an underrated pairing/dynamic. Not only is Becky's shenanigans on her one-sided crush kinda fun to see because it makes her so charming in how she has such an almost girl failure energy, but also it's supposed to be a subversive on them being the Louis Lane and Clark Kent of the pair. Scoop's crush on Violet is basically the 'what if' scenario of Louis fawning over Jimmy Olsen instead, lol.
Other than that, I think it has some promise to be a hilarious ship. Mostly for the idea of Becky getting over her crush, and then Scoops develops one on her, but it feels too late. They would have some problems (Scoops not realizing Becky would want a more romantic partner while he's more chill with affection or their professional egos clashing), and I can smell the potential drama if you mix in Violet/Tobey/Victoria on either side. I guess I like them together more than I would because the later seasons did a lot to make their friendship fun to watch (aka The tooth hurts), and so shipping them isn't hard too think about. I'm just a sucker for one-sided crushes, technically not being one-sided if the other person wasn't just an oblivious idiot.
Overall, I think my favorite dynamic for them to have is them being very good friends, as Becky's moved on yet cares deeply for him. While Scoops starts to pine for her secretly but knows it's too late, he keeps it inside painfully as maybe she was the one who got away.
