Can my shear be fixed?????
I hear this question at least three times per week. Usually the issue is a damaged blade caused by dropping the shear. But also one of the big issues is a damaged shear caused by someone sharpening the shear incorrectly.
Any stylist who has been in the business more than 4 years has at least one horror story about a sharpener who Ruined a pair of shears. I can fix pretty much anything another sharpener has done as long as the blade or handle has not been bent.
So the answer to the question; "can my shears be fixed?" is almost always yes, if you have a professional who knows what he is doing and is using the right equipment. My suggestion is never let anyone near your scissors unless they are using the Diamond Rose Superior Sharpening System.
