We spent last week in the gorgeous Isles of Scilly inspired by Steve Backshall and also @outdoor_mummy’s amazing photos. And what a week! We loved it, and spent our time jumping on boats to visiting the many islands - all of which have their own special personality and variety of wildlife. We walked a total 50 miles even with the 6 year old and explored St Marys, St Agnes, Bryher, St Martin’s and Tresco islands. Here’s a few of our favourite pics & vids from the week. Also thanks to @barefootislanders who we met while away and who inspired us to go barefoot! (As the week was largely warm and sunny). How to get there: Okay this is a fair distance from Hackney.. 😊 but we travelled by 5 hour train London Paddington- Penzance. We then caught a minibus to Land’s End airport and took a small twin otter propellor plane over to St Mary’s island (20 min, v exciting & fun flight) which was our base for the week. You can also fly from Exeter or if you’re not a flying fan also catch a ferry from Penzance to St Marys. Absolutely you should go!! #islesofscilly #scilly #scillyisles #halfterm #familyactivities #familyholidays #holiday #hackneyoutdoors #countrywalking #getoutside #autumnwalks #autumn #visitislesofscilly (at Isles of Scilly) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVxH5sQIP5c/?utm_medium=tumblr
